How can i get my first client ?

Hello BHW Community!

I am a python developer and focust in web scraping and bot automation. I have the ability to develope what my clients or what i need. In my experience it is difficullt to get my first client. I dont no where can i find some. In fiverr, upwork, freelancer websites and so on it is not easy to get a job. I thinked about the bhw forum to make my first sales with my service but i dont have the money for jr. Vip because i need money. What can i do to make money on BHW ? Can i do some Join Ventures ? I need help. Best regards

Hello ! Yes, doing a JV can be a good solution. However, you have to reach 50 messages to do this.

I am currently doing a JV on YouTube thanks to a post that I published on JV section, I also have another JV idea that I also posted in JV section. Doing JVs can have advantages (teamwork + ease + distributed task + support, etc.)

You could showcase your skills in the form of some quick tips or tutorials here on BHW. I think there's high demand for development work, and maybe someone will contact you directly.

I'm not 100% sure, but I don't think it's against the rules if someone contacts you directly for a gig (not the other way around). Maybe someone else can say something about this?

You can start a thread asking for ideas on your next automation/web scraping project, and offer to post it here for people to use. This proves your skillset and engages you with many potential prospects if they like your code.

yes thats a good idea for the beginning, i want to start doing this. but i am allowed to sell my service if the people write only to me ?

the 97$ you spend on jr. vip is well spent because you can make it back in no time by doing haf and renting your sig. Is there no way you could get a 97$? like friends family whatever. it's a good invesment for someone with your skills.

Your first step should be to go for premium account here and then go to marketplace and advertise your work there.
JVs can be better.

This way you will build trust, demonstrate your experience and check demand for your service. Dont try to sell without paid membership, though

Try LinkedIn, Do JV here & also always apply on Upwork.

I got my first job on Upwork after 3 months, Now I am a bit successful. Yes, It's a slow process, But when you are on the Track you can speed up & drive as you wish 200/KM.

Anywhere on the internet, basically. You can start with Upwork or Fiverr and see the offers there, I am sure you'll find a bunch of them for you, as development is something that's highly required. Also, you can try to connect directly with potential clients on LinkedIn or some similar social media and present your services there. Another option would be to do some emailing and send emails to valuable leads and tell them how you could help them in their business.

Okay, now i focuss tonget the 97$ to get my premium membership. After that i sell my service here
