how can i get affiliate programs setup

Hi All,

I need some advice, i am currently in the process of getting my sisters website redesigned and after that is complete i was interested in offering affiliate program offer since i have seen all her competitors with the same affiliate proram offerings. i was wondering what do i need to do to get this setup on her site and what information would i need to give to those who decide to join the program. i was thinkingh about offering 7% commission on every sell they generate.

First you'll need a tracking platform, after you get that setup you'll need to start recruiting affiliates. What you need to explain in more detail is what type of product is she selling and is 7% enough to get anyone interested?

You will have to join Affiliate networks like Commission junction.

Check the affiliate websites and study their way of work.

You don't have to join a major network, but that will give you the greatest access to recruiting affiliates. You could set up your own program easy enough with any of a number of software, applications, or wordpress plugins, but to get the big bucks - you'll probably want to join a larger network depending on what you are selling.

You will need content for your affiliate backend. They will want email swipe, sales copy, graphics, etc.... You may also want to have a one page sales letter inviting people into your affiliate program. Anyway, there is tons of information here on BHW for what you need, and you could also simply attempt to duplicate one of the affiliate backends you may have already visited, i.e. just put the same things in your affiliate toolbox as you see in the other programs.
