Well you can monetize that account through shootouts and other promos.
With 10k I advise you two things:
1 - Search organic growing methods and increase your follower base.
2 - Post only viral content to increase engagement rate.
It means: You can have an account with a low amount of followers and big engagement rates, or the otherwise, big account with low engagement.
The equilibrium between these two is the best you can get.

The big question is are those followers real. Did you get those followers naturally? If they are fake followers it is going to be difficult to monetize that account.

Become a brand ambassador.
Do collabs with other people to sell a product or service.
Sell your own product or service.
Sell shoutouts but post good content so your profile isn't just full of spam.
