How do people make one image appear as different posts on Instagram? I've also seen it done on TikTok using thumbnails

Go to canva, select your dimension ( 3240*3420 for 9 photo group ). Then design your template, downlad it then go to pinetools.com split your image into 9 photo download it.

Here is an example work of mine to show how you have to do.

you can use instagram grid app
