How can i check a competitors backlinks?

Hi,

I've found a site that it's in the same niche as me and i would like to check what sort of backlinks they've got as they have have some really good rankings for some competitive keywords. Any tools i can use preferably free?

You can always check moz.com but the stats are rather old.

If you really want to know links of a domain, get someone with a ahrefs account or make one yourself, it's free for 30 days and check there
 
Yep, ahrefs works really well. Do the trial then cancel after you've learned what you need to know (if you can't afford to pay).
 
There are also some shared or group buy seo accounts floating around... I use them as well because I don't have the money for multiple tools and don't need them much so that could be an option as well
 
Ahrefs is my favourite one, Semrush I use too.

Just USE Majestic and Ahref.

You can use ahrefs for check all the Live and lost backlink with every detail from your competitor... it's just an awesome tools i have ever use!

For the free tools you can't get competitors all back links, so you must try premium tools free trail period offers ;)

Alexa - 7 days free trail :D

Ahrefs - 14 days free trail :p
 
Ahrefs is a little expensive it's worth every penny
 
Ahrefs and Semrush are my suggestions.
 
Same suggestions, give it a try with ahref and you will get valuable data about your competitor's backlinks
 
Depending on your budget or even on a free trial you should be using Majestic and Ahrefs for backlink auditing. You can throw in Semrush into the mix as well but it doesn't have the database of links that the previous two do.
 
There are many tools to check competitors backlinks that are completely free.
