how can I avoid getting scammed on aliexpress and alibaba.com

I have 150.00 to invest, and I thought that the Isabel Marant shoes are a great investment.

Being that they're 30.00 and retails over 130.00., however, I've noticed a lot of complaints in reards to both of the websites.

Any advice?

You do realize that anything branded on both sites is going to be fake. So you may not get it coz it will be confiscated ( not likely if you order 1 pair only ) but in the realm of the possibilities.

Now, if you sell them as fakes ( wonder where, though ) you may not make much on a deal like that. 30 bucks for a pair of fakes is hefty. Plus the shipping.
If you sell them as origs you may get away with it. You may not. Depends on quality. Most likely bad. Maybe not.

Or maybe you do not get anything at all. Both sites are known for that as well. Roll the dice and take your chances.

There is an escrow service you can use with them. They offer it but I lost the link to it.

Be very cautious even when purchasing from a "trusted" seller. Make sure to read their positive feedback. Often you'll find it's all from a few fake accounts spamming the same one word comment.

It is impossible to avoid being scammed these days.
