How can freelancers find more clients?

Hello everyone,
I am a freelancer and I need your advice on how to get more clients.
I really need your help now.
My main skill now is using Photoshop and AI tools to create product scene pictures.
I only need a product photo with a white background to put the product into any scene,
or have a model hold your product to demonstrate it.
It can be completely realistic without any traces of synthesis.
I will show my work below.

Let me first talk about my current predicament.
I posted my services on both Fiverr and Upwork,
but almost no one was interested on Fiverr.
I only met a few clients on Upwork,
and some of them even cheated me,
taking my work without paying.
Most of the resumes I sent were not opened by clients,
let alone contacting me.
I don't know what the problem is.

I would like to know what other channels I can use to acquire clients besides these two freelancing websites.
I feel that my skills are fully capable of meeting any needs of clients,
but now I just don't have the ability to acquire clients.

How long did it take you to learn this skill? I make animations and merch designs using photoshop/illustrator, and tbh your skill at adding a product image is not really that good to be able to really part the ocean with. Yes, people will buy, but your specific skill isn't appealing to THAT many people. Maybe you hope to win a huge client?

Just keep building your portfolio though, on your own website, and every photosharing site out there, such as deviant art to name one. Keep linking, and posting on socials, and eventually people will recognise your skills (as long as you list more than just product image placement know how)

Go do something crazy like post to dank memes, a sex pleasure object, and something, make or do a funny set of product placements and post them to reddit! Work harder is what I'm saying, You been trying for a few months, and done a little bittie, keep plugin away bigger and badder!

Thanks for your advice. I have many other skills. I will follow your advice and publish my works on some social media and make some crazy pictures to attract others.

Also, I would like to ask how to find groups on reddit that are useful to me, as I am not very familiar with that website.
 
For fiverr you may need to pay to promote your service, there was a thread here on BHW talking about this, but sorry can not find it any more

Just join reddit, and search on reddit or google for product showcase, each thing you do can have multiple sub reddits (same ideas as sub forums on BHW) for example I'm in r/character design r/animation r/storyboards, and a couple of others all to do with animation that I participate in.
 
I think you should outreach to ad agencies. Chasing end clients won't be as effective as onboarding a few agencies that could provide constant work.
Have a good looking site with portfolio and let your work do the talking.

Another thing you can do it to contact a few companies and send them a few examples you made for their products. Contact ecommerce companies with a few 100s of products and you should get some work coming your way.

Why don't you set up a few virtual blogger accounts to push your products? Just make sure you're upfront about them being virtual, so you don't run into any transparency issues.

Photoshop and AI are great, but they're just tools. Clients need a complete package. From concept development to final rendering, they want a one-stop shop

This is just one of the services I can provide.
This service can save customers a lot of budget and time.
Customers only need a few white background pictures of the products to get model display pictures and life scene display pictures.
They do not need to spend a lot of budget to find a professional photography team and hire models,
they can quickly get the product pictures they want.

Currently, this method of using AI combined with Photoshop to create product images has been widely used on shopping websites in China.
Most small and medium-sized stores use AI images to quickly update products.

Thank you for your suggestion,
which gave me new ideas.
Maybe I can search for some companies on social media.
They will regularly post pictures of their products.
I can make their pictures into exquisite scene display pictures and send them to them.
As long as they think my work is helpful for their product display,
they may hire me. Using works as a resume is the most convincing.

Social media posts are the tip of the iceberg. You want to be the supplier for the product images on their ecommerce site, as well as for their ads. Instead of 3-4 posts per week, it's a 300 images per project.
 
Perhaps you can showcase your visual work on some social media platforms, such as Instagram or LinkedIn. This may attract businesses that are looking for your specific skills.

Blogger accounts? Do you mind be more specific? Is blogger still alive? I didn’t hear in my country about it since years. Lol

I just opened the Upwork website today and found that the guy who cheated me a few days ago and didn't pay me for the work contacted me again.
He also wanted me to make product pictures for him and claimed that he would pay me as long as I continued to complete the work.
I ignored him.
The product photo he gave me was a skin care essential oil.
I found the official website of this brand through the brand name and sent an email to their official website.
I told the company how this guy cheated me on Upwork and sent a full message screenshot.
Whether he is an employee of this company or a person who cheated a part-time contract as a freelancer,
I think he may be in trouble.
