I own a e commerce store and am having to deal with customers shipping etc., and I really really really hate it. It is one of the things I dread most in life.

The product I sell I have no real care about and is probably why I hate it so much. If it were only people buying then I wouldn't care as much. But the niche I chose is all old people.

So lesson learned. Do not start an e commerce store selling products which are really lame and that you have no interest in. It has only been six months too!

I agree, why not just outsource your customer service to a US based CSR. Get someone who cares about your customers and let you focus on growing your next site. You could also sell the site and bankroll the next one :)

Outsource it :D

I was wondering that as well. Won't that be quite expensive? Literally at this point, I do not care how much it is. I am getting major anxiety and stressing over this. Life should be fun but when you deal with pissed off customers, it ain't no fun.

Do not build any site in which you have no interest... passive or otherwise.

I preach that on a regular basis.

Get a good CS rep and your life will improve dramatically.

I guess it would suck to have to do it... but I love dealing with support XD

Any advice on a CS company? Outsourc on odesk? Literally any customer service rep (even if they spoke a little English) would be better then I am.

"Hello, my name is Peggy". LOL. Love that commercial.

Seriously, you don't want to deal with customer service at nuance (Dragon Naturally Speaking). They are Cold.

Craigslist! Hire a female with a sexy voice. I wouldn't outsource CS though. Your CS represents your company/brand and outsourcing that to save a few bucks will bite you in the ass later on.

Well, I wish i heard that advice earlier hahaha. So true

Playing golf with my Father once and my cell went off (it was on silent but I saw it blinking) and I knew it was a client.

I said I hate it when those guys call.

He said "You chose that business, deal with it or sell it."

I sold it 3 weeks later... solid advice from a man that has more business sense than anyone I know and I know a lot of people.

I love that quote. So true also.

You just need to take it easier. I was like you a few years ago, always angry about retarded customers. But some day I figured, it isn't really worth the hassle. Some customers are so dumb that you can say whatever you want, they won't get it and still maintain their point. So it's just a waste of time to explain it to them over and over again. Today I'm not trying any more. I'm just like yes sir, you're right. I'm truly sorry, it's my fault. Of course it wasn't really my fault, but it makes them happy again and I have piece. Best solution in my opinion.

The sad fact is that all niches will have angry/stupid people. I got an email last week from someone asking why they couldn't get a discount. I replied saying "did you enter in the coupon code xyz?" They reply "great! Now it works." :P

I could just imagine a women doing my job ten times better. Especially a women that loves what she does. Really there is no brand with my site as its all google. And I sell someone else's product. So, I kinda don't really care about the brand as bad as that sounds. It just seems to kind of halt the growth progress when you are dealing with customers all day.

P.S. this site isn't even making all that money either.
