how are people getting backlinks?

You won't like my suggestion, but I would advise you to put away the software and do everything manually until you understand what it is that G is looking for. Right now it sounds like you're just following what everyone else was doing 2 years ago and it's getting you predictable results. You need to take some time and actually understand what it is you are doing.

Examine your competitors websites and figure out what their backlink structure is like, then do your best to copy that. I can almost guarantee you will see better results from doing that than from what you are doing now. Yes it will take time, but that is what this is. If you could honestly just buy $80 of fiverr gigs and throw some cracked software backlinks at your website don't you think everyone would be ranking?

I just don't understand how people are getting backlinks from unique domains all the time.

MajesticSEO & opensiteexplorer are good places to start. You could also try downloading SEO Spyglass.

If you're starting at IM, I would recommend that you avoid SEO altogether. If you're unemployed, get a job and save up a 1 or 2k to start with PPC. Google is just way too temperamental and crazy these days.

You have cracked software and are doing stuff people were doing years ago, and expect to rank in 2012. Whether you are a blackhat spammer, or a "whitehat" link buyer, either way it takes MONEY to rank successfully. In the blackhat spamming case, it also takes effort and ingenuity. A lot more than doing what everyone else is doing, with cracked software, or blowing all your cash on shitty backlinks from fiverr. It's not nice to hear but it's the truth. And even if you spend all this money required to rank, it is NEVER guaranteed, far from it. Google can slap you royally within a second. It has happened to millions of webmasters just a few weeks ago.

If I were to give myself advice when I was starting in IM, it would have been to avoid SEO altogether.

You're wrong about it taking money... I've ranked sites well in very competitive markets without spending a cent, thanks to a lot of custom bots.

Google does seem to love paid homepage links and spam right now though... Especially xrumer spam or ******** blog comments.

If you've got the skills to make a custom bot without something like ubot or zennoposter (both of which cost money), then it's still a significant outlay of resources in terms of you learning programming etc. Even something like modding xrumer hurt my brain, and I still have to pay for captchas :O

Xrumer 7 uses automated captcha servicing... however, it does seem like people using blog comment Xrumer mods (drupal X mods etc) and doing guestbook/link posting areas have taken over a lot of very high value terms since penguin.

Thanks for the advice, but if i were to quit SEO that would mean 3 months of work down the drain. I have written around 50 500 word articles for people and have written insane content on my websites, I really don;t want to throw it all away

I currently have a site ranked 2nd and a site ranked 13th and i really don't want to put it to waste but i really don't know what to do now. I have just been analysing my competitors backlinks using majestic SEo and spyglass but i can't seem to get links from any of there sources so analysing my competitors backlinks seems like a waste of time..

If you want to rank you need to spend money and time, if you star building bots like expertpeon with zennoposter you will go crazy it has the worst interface ever, ubot is a piece of crap.

If you build it by hand you are domed. If you are thinking of buying xrumer make sure that you have money to buy the extras and don't go nuts if you don't like it also think that you need to have tiers.

What expertpeon isn't saying is that he is blasting and building at a huge rate. He isn't saying how long it takes and how much it takes to rank.

The OP needs to calculate the return because people compete on terms that have traffic but people aren't buying what are they selling, and it isn't worth it to fight for something that has low return but you won't know if people buy until you rank.




Expertpeon tell us how much time it takes to rank on a medium competition keyword and how many links you build on each tier.

Dude are you seriously telling me that Xrumer has auto captcha solving? Thanks for letting me know, I was wondering what that "Automatic captcha solving" option was in speed and success rate tab. Lol. Of course everyone knows XR has some OCR capability however if you have used XR at all you will know that it a) has relatively low success rate at solving captchas, especially the most common recaptcha and DLE, which are changing ALL of the time especially since Google now owns recaptcha and makes it an absolute BITCH - by the time botmaster cracks it Google just change it / add a new twist e.g. blobs, street signs, other ridiculous shit; and b) XR's OCR can only solve a limited number of captchas, mostly restricted to FORUM captchas since it is after all primarily a forum spammer. There are a few guestbook captchas in there as well, mostly relatively simple numerical captchas, and newly phoca gb has been added, but if you want to hit guestbooks, you will still need external services.

Basically, for any other modifications outside forums, you will need to use external captcha services if you want any sort of success. I can tell you that the drupal X mod is a steaming pile of shit and pretty much does nothing. There is a reason why things like that are released to the public and that is because it is shit, it came from xr ch@ after all. Similar to the phpld mod which actually doesn't work at all for various reasons. Those who are spamming platforms outside of forums are generally either modding xr or making their own custom bots.

I still think OP should look at other ways of making money than SEO. In the future I think backlinks will be phased out or at least devalued greatly, and backlinking in a certain way can have adverse impact on your sites now. Even doing shit by the book can have you hit so it's a lottery. It's not a viable business plan to include SEO with G at the moment.

My view is actually that XR spam, even spam in general not just XR, yes via guestbooks, blogs, wikis, forums or whatever it may be, has taken a large hit and is significantly less potent than before.

Your question, if I'm not mistaken, is how to get high quality backlinks automatically with no monetary investment?

We just told you, either you invest money or you do it manually. There is no magic software, it's either hard work or paying others to do the work for you, as with everything in life.
