How and when did you start making money online?

Wow you all have been there for a long time. :)

do you think it was easier to several years ago?
Yes it was much easier before to do SEO. Now I find it slower to move up in rankings and there are many more players. I expect IM to get harder month after month, year after year. As the cost is low to enter the IM market, more and more people will join, making it harder and harder.

I started IM (internet money LOL) on 2005 with pay per downloads sites, i got only some pennies, so i switched for many other things until today

I used to search websites where one can earn money online

Same i have also done like this only! From collage life only i was interested in earning money from online! At that time i was not having any skills, in my mind i was just thinking of how to earn money, at that moment i was having financial problems i remember that i should pay my fees by my own that's why i was thinking of making money! After that 1 year i have searched for websites on google but, i didn't get at least 1 site also. Then i have fixed of doing SEO and i have learn everything about SEO from so many years. Now i am earning money by doing this work,

I learned so many things from BHW! The things i don't know that also i have known from here! Love u BHW!:)

In fact now I suddenly remember I had started on the side around 2003, where I did a type of amazon arbitrage, very profitable; then I stopped a few years and later did IM full time from 2008.

I am earning by ranking local business sites and renting them out to business owners

I did a freelance project via a freelance platform during my paid holiday days from work back in 2006. It was a SEO audit or something like that.
I was already thinking about leaving my job and wanted to see how realistic was that freelancing thing for supporting myself.
With my specialization it was not, because Internet connection was too expensive back then and I had to pay for traffic consumed, not a flat rate.
And there were no chances for me to freelance at my workplace.

It didn't even occur to me back then that freelance wasn't the only way to make good money online legally. With the skills I had back then, I could easily make money from my own websites. But I was too narrow-minded / naive to see & grasp that opportunity.

Next time I made money online was about 1.5 years later — started freelancing full-time and Internet was already cheap.

I am 20 years in old now, the very first I earned was from Fiverr by selling FB and IG likes when I was 16. Now I am working as a content marketer and just started one month ago with Adsense.

Hello! I started making money online back in 2008, where I learned to host online games and made my own private server, of which I started selling small items in exchange for money, it wanst much tho but I learned a lot in the process, also too much work for so few, I'd soon learn that foreigners can afford to pay much more for the same thing and switched to plan B, I shut down my server and hosted another in a foreigner domain.
For two years I hosted an online game and even tho the player volume was smaller the money valued way more so I'd often profit nicely, and my only cost was internet and hosting fees.

my start quite similar to @krishnaverma . i started from college labs with a search of "how to make money online" and it leads to blogging, my first blog was in blogger. I got a lot of time after college-time and learned blogging. started blogger blog < tv seasons > from where I earned few bucks from popups. :P
learned SEO and landed a good job. but from last 1 month shifted to complete freelancing and affiliate marketing.

The best way to earn money in this age is through freelancing. There is no better option than this. I will always recommend people this field. If you have any sort of skill, then you can earn a livelihood in the comfort of your home. You just need to be determined and hard-working.

I found out about IM in 2013, made some money with ppd + content locker. It was very easy at that time. But after a while my method stopped working, I gave up on IM altogether.

Fast forward to the end of last year, after graduating from my university, I somehow decided to make IM my career. So I started to read every thread and its replies that I think are interesting. I ended up with something I know about - incentive youtube cpa.

I followed cryogenesis's guide, burnt some money for youtube HR views but managed to make it work.

Now that I have a decent stable income, I'm looking into amazon affiliate + SEO and affiliate marketing + paid traffic. Can't fool people for a living for too long.

Started on Facebook growing adult themed pages + adult sites loaded with ads making me 50-70/day I was 14 at the time I did this for 3 years. Wasted all of that money on vacations and girls though. After that facebook updated and i started getting really bad reach + pages getting banned left and right. The next year after that was horrible i had to survive on 300/mo. Luckily i live in a low income country and i didn't have to get a job. Its been a crazy ride since then many ups and downs but i think ive learned my lesson and instead of spending too much on entertainment i tend to invest my time and money into things that bring more profit.

I started 2 years ago when I was 17; grew 2 IG accounts and sold them for $100. Then bought some and flipped them. Tried dropshipping, content making, etc but flipping IGs is still a good income to me.

Well, let's see here. About 5 years ago I was bent over and getting fucked 24/7, in the ass. But not mouth fucked, so I had my face and hands fairly free. And there was a lap top nearby. So I figured, my life sucks, can't go lower than this, so I went in and deleted about 600+ friends from my Facebook profile, and started learning about cookies and things and how to stay anonymous online. I just wanted to get into a hole and hide in it.

But, through researching how to stay anonymous and all, I stumbled upon the whole "make money online" situation. I figured, I can't go get a job considering I'm chained and being pumped all day, but I could make some money here maybe. Then I figured, if I can make some money I can use that money to break dem chains and get the motherfucking system off my back, and get out of my situation.

I started by doing PTC sites, and forum posting, and article writing a little, and microjobs, and reviewing phone calls, and transcription. About 6 months in I had my first $600 dollar month. Transcription is what did it. At that point I figures I can get out of my situation, and survive with my online income. So I got up, and left.

The next 2 years were hard. I continued doing all the things I mentioned, but transcription was my main source of income. Still, I was just barely getting by. But at least my ass wasn't being fucked anymore. It was healing :D

About 2,5 years from the start of this story, I decided to make a website to sell things online. So I did that. That was around June 2016. I finished the year better than what I thought I would. Then in 2017 I netted $18,000+ dollars. Now in 2018 I'll make another $18,000+ give or take, unless I figure something out to earn more. I'm working on it.

Here I am, 5 years since it all started. Got $25k saved up, not being fucked anymore, and I'm working like a maniac 24/7 to make something of myself.

There you go.

E-commerce a few years back. A whole host of other things since a couple months ago.

Started with those shitty surveys, then took a break, started again with Fiverr, made around $75, spent all, took a break, started selling PLR Content, then again too a break, then a lot more stuff and now taking a break again for at least a year.
