For your first work with photoshop, it looks great.
Try making it a bit more sober, I reckon. The main thing about a logo is that it should be recognizable and simple at first but complex and to the point as you keep looking at it.

Nice. I really like the gold. The red seems to bring that out, and makes the whole logo pop. Keep up the awesome work on this. If you have any other works done, you should share as well.
