Well if you stay in this business you won't need to do the manual labor much longer. A friend of mine did this in the 90's when he was in his early 20s.

He called himself a Stormchaser.

Basically he had a crew of guys that followed weather patterns across the midwest/south and did repairs for hurricanes, tornadoes, and hail storms. He didn't do any of the labor himself, he just directed everyone. He would bank between 300-600K a year, net, for himself. This was all dealing with private citizens or commercial real estate, no government contracts.

The hardest part for him was flying or driving into each new area. He liked it when he was single but once he married and had kids he really didn't want to do it anymore...

Thank you, all of you, Its not even about the money for me, its about the creativity. I feel the need to express creativity however I can. I plan on comign up with ideas everyday and helping people make money.

If you want to go to people's houses and make money in a low pressure way you can become insurance adjusters. There are companies that will help you get licensed and everything to do this. All you do is go to people's houses that say something broke accidentally, whether it be by hurricane or you just burned your house having a barbecue by accident. You make money on every valid claim. You can make a lot more money doing this than cleaning and you don't have to get your hands dirty or do any physical labor.

Aw hell yeah.

I'm not sure what part of Texas you live in, but people generally don't board up their windows for a tornado because they occur without much more than a few minutes warning. Hurricanes on the other hand, you usually have anywhere from a few days to a week to prepare for one.
