Ok, As you may or may not know, I am 15. I dont have a vast amount of options to make money yet. But ever since I have been 6 Ive had an affinity for creative money making ideas.

But to cut to the chase. I was bored and in need of some pocket change, as were a few of my friends. So, they asked me. Dude can you help us make some cash. I said, sure(after all I needed cash too), just give me a few hours. I went home and htought about it. Then, it hit me. Hurricane Season! I immediately went on my computer printed flyers and went door to door, in JUST my neighborhood (Which is Approx. 800 houses.) I had flyers in one hand, and a few pictures in the other. The pictures were of houses and windows destroyed, and how if a window is broken in a house during a hurricane, the room will feel as if the air is being sucked out due to instable air pressure. So, I went and offered two services. Hurricane House Board Up. Where I went to the home depot. Took measurements of the person's windows. And I board and unboard the windows for them prior to the hurricane, and that costs $200. That takes me about 1 to 2 hours per house. Then the other service, is hurricane clean up, and I charge $50 an hour of clean up. And it takes me around 4-6 hours to completely clean up a house. I and my friends have virtually no costs, because we simply use a neighbor, or friend's or parent's tools. And all we use are trash bags, leave blowers, a chains saw, a power saw, a drill, and a broom. Weve only gone to 40 houses thus far, and 23 have tooken us up on our offer. And between the three of us, we have made over $2000 thus far. And are already booked up for the rest of the month thanks to referrals.

Just wanted to say thanks to BHW for helping me enhance my creativity. Will be donating. :D

    BRILLIANT!

As lame as it sounds, natural disasters are an awesome way to make a TON of $. Clean up/prep for hurricanes could turn into an incredibly profitable business if you and your friends want to pursue it later in life.

Thanks all, but in response to the person from texas:

You could always go door to door with a tornado plan for people in the area, or say you can help in creating one. Thats another one we did, that didnt make as much, but we still made $30 to $40 an hours, 4 days a week from it. :D

You have a VERY bright future ahead of you.

Just to see the real potential in this "little" money maker of yours, check this site out.

    Code:
    www.crowdergulf.com
The summary is, adults do this exact same thing on a larger scale. This company started out exactly like you did: a bright person had a "Hmmmm, what if I...?" moment.

It makes an estimated $1billion dollars a year in profit.

WOW. I imagined someone else had to haev thought of it too. But a Billion dollars doing it? Thats incredible. ANd the thing is, I live in an area that is hit reasonably frequently, so there is no shortage in needs of help.

The problem with that idea is tornadoes rarely hit my area. I've lived here for 6 years and not a single tornado has hit anywhere close.

    Yup.

They contract with the government to do major disaster clean up; a friend of mine actually does work for them - he's in New Orleans right now in fact. It's a family run business. They have lots of dump trucks and bulldozers and contacts, but they started out basically just like you did.

Keep thinking like you do and you'll go far.

What part of texas do you live in? If there are any surrounding areas, that arent TOO far, you could also charge for gas as well.

That is amazing, and thank you, I agree its all about developing your business right with the right idea, and I could be successful. Im thinking of opening a class thread, where people tell me their area, resources, how much they hope to make, and etc. etc. And I create ideas for them for free. Im only 15 and I need to get as creative as possible and thatd be good daily excercise for me. I create ideas all the time, but between school and sports, etc. etc. I just dont seem to find the time.

Congrats to you. A lot of us (myself included) wish we were this together at such a young age. A lot of real success stories are created with a youngster getting creative and filling a need. I look forward to reading about your successes in the popular press when you're 25 or 30.

I fail to see how this is classed as "hustling". Still. Whatever pays for the sweets and candy, I guess.

    I'm impressed as Hell!

Keep it up and you will be retired by the time you are 21!

Not often do I see such creativity and personal responsibility evidenced in a person your age!

Your parents or keepers, as the case may be (LOL!) did a good job!;)

'...At last! Proof that the entrepreneurial spirit that made the U.S. and the U.K. GREAT back in the day, has not totally died out.

Watch this guy. He's got the ideas and is not too afraid to roll up his sleeves and graft.

I am totally impressed and could well be your number one fan as I made my first fortune through sheer hands-on hard work'.
