Hi there. During the black friday/cyber monday weekend I decided to push some traffic to hostwinds affiliate program. I had exactly 37 sales. I was thinking they might deny few of them but today I log into my account and i see only 1 sale approved. I mean common from 37 sales they approved only one? My traffic was pure quality and I had sales like 100$ payments on VPS and such.. Today I asked their support and they said this
"Our affiliate managers manually review pending referrals on the 1st of each month, if commissions were not approved, they would have been removed from your available commissions and set to denied."
Without stating any proof about my sales.
I want my money for the LEGIT SALES IVE MADE HOSTWINDS.

We are dedicated to our affiliates success, if your sales were denied it could be for any number of reasons, most of the time it is due to the clients account not being in an active state (failing to renew). In order to be credited the clients account must be active 90 days after the original signup date.

If you simply respond to our staff with your affiliate ID in a support ticket, they will provide you with detailed logs of why every single commission and sale was declined. I am unable to provide you with support on this forum, however, would be more than happy to provide you support through our ticket system.

If you would prefer to work directly with me, then please shoot me a PM with your contact info, or add me on skype

That is the question. How many of those accounts sent over are still active. Like hostwind said the accounts have to be active for 90 days. I know some host make it 6 months before they pay out. They offer a nice fee for that but chances are very few new customers stay past 3 months when the come in on a cheap promo.

I would look at the type of leads that you sent in. And see if you can find out how many are current. Then if hostwinds is willing to give you the info what % failed the security audit and the account was closed.

I know for us. While black friday sales brings in a lot of customers it also brings in a lot of spammers and fraud accounts that get closed out in the same day by our system that fail our audit process.

Hit peter up on skype I am sure he can give you the details that can help you out moving forward on how to drive the best traffic that will stay long term.

    Best of luck to you.

Hey there. I knew they would send someone from their team to make a defensive statement. Just by looking at few of your posts I already found that you suggested them on few threads here so I know you are a close relative of them
    Few of your posts

Btw they saw the thread here and instantly emailed me and said that I'm gonna receive an email about my referrals.
They sent me a second email 15 hours later after the first email and saying that 98% of my referrals weren't paid because they cancelled the subscription which is BS reason and not enough proof
Out of 37 sales you are saying that 36 people cancelled and none of them renewed the service? What about those who bought expensive stuff such as DEDI and VPS? I mean common.... LOL I was looking at the sales there were sales like 3$ or so and there were sales with 50$ or 100$+
I don't know what I was expecting when I already saw a thread about this aff program here .. - http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackh...5-hostwinds-affiliate-program-anyone-use.html
    Well..
PS The most interesting stuff is that they delete the sales from your account well thanks god I already took a screenshot from them and I have proof

A good reason to not do CPA, they have to have strict metrics in place in order to pay you.
Think about it from their perspective, each of your referrals have to actually BUY something, the user has to retain for 30-90 days in order to pay you the $66 commission or whatever it is.
You're better off working with Affiliate programs that pay a % of commissions with recurring billing. You'll make more $ in the long run.

Yeah right.. Their previous aff program was revshare and they deleted all of my referrals(NOTICE I HAD LIKE 6-7 ACTIVE REFFERALS) recurring their services and they deleted everyone's referral whose balance was UNDER $10.
Proof by someone else ASWELL - http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackh...d-anyone-else-loose-hostwinds-referralls.html
Today I'm going to visit a lawyer and speak more about this and speak with him for legal challenge against HostWinds. I want my money for the traffic I served for them.
I want A COMPLETE REPORT ON EVERY OF MY REFERRAL
Please stay away from their REFERRAL PROGRAM. That's a notice from ME!!

And on a side note I had a site hosted with them and it was sooooo slow, tech support was sub par and overall a very bad experience. Sounds to me like they are a bad company to do business with in many areas.

I have joined several affiliate programs including Hostwinds. Currently I have 2 pending commissions from Hostwinds which were ordered or made a sale last Dec 7 and 10. Currently, they are marked delayed probably because it hasn't reached 3 months yet.

As with your experience that you got 37 sales but only 1 got approved, probably because the 36 others cancelled their account before reaching 3 months on Hostwinds. I get that a lot also from Hostgator, where I got a a couple of sale/referral in 1 day but all of them cancelled after a month. Probably that's also what happened in your side.

tubetilla is right. It's much better working on affiliate programs that pays % recurring commissions. Though, I only know of 1 affiliate that pays recurring commissions. Company is paying me every time my commission reached €200, which in my case happens every 2 months. Not much but it's better than nothing at all. And you don't have to wait 3 months before they pay you your commission. If your account earns more than €200 a month, then you'll get paid more than €200 per month.

Hi again. I had a talk with Peter and seems like they messed up the statistics. They had a lot of comissions for Black Friday so the comissions were delayed a bit. I'm supposed to get a payment on Monday and I will be posting again with the payment proof. Peter was kind enough to explain the situation and fix the issue for me.
    Response for @fox20c
I'm a loyal hostwinds customer for 1 year now and I never had a problem with their host, 100% uptime and 24/7 hours support.
I'm looking forward to receive my comissions and I will be making a new reply here.

@alexedk Personally I'm really happy seen your case been resolved and so you receive your money. For me personally is a bit strange how come they resolve YOUR issue AFTER complaining here :D . Peter should look closely on this issue.

I'm back and I would like to tell you guys that I received the second payment yesterday. It is really great to work with HostWinds and I'm glad Peter could help me to resolve the issue.

For me, Hostwinds Aff program is vague!
They don't track sales, you have to complain here and there until someone add commission manually.
Even their initial rules are vague! They said $10 signup bonus (initial deposit) will be added upon registration. OK, it's done, but when you check your stats, you will discover this bonus doesn't count for your further payments, e.g you made $90 from sales, you've got $10 bonus -> it seems you met minimum payment amount ($100), but you didn't...and so on and so on...
