Hosting Sucks, Want to Change.

Look up Storm on Demand. You may like them; they are very decent. I've been with them for almost an year now and everything is first class.

Not too pricey either. Also, changing hosts won't have any major effect, if at all. I have changed a number of times in the past and there haven't been any ranking changes.

I have accounts with both hostwinds and 1&1.

I must say hostwinds is the better out of the two. They are very responsive to support, and they recently had an hour or so outage (in the middle of the night so i did not really notice) and as a result offers a free months hosting to everybody on the server (i didn't claim it because i didn't notice hehe).

1 & 1 are ok, they do what they say they will. Domains and setting things up etc can take a little long though. My 2 years hosting will cost what 4 years would of with hostwinds though -.-

I have bluehost as well. I have hosted there for about a year and a half with no issues and great phone/chat support. They are not as cheap as hostgator though.

Im in the same boat, I use 1and1. . for the past year they have been fine but not out of the blue my sites are running so slow. . .

But its a 50 50 thing, sometimes it loads in under 1sec and then 10mins latter it will have a load time of 100+ sec.

My goal this week is to find a new hosting company and start moving over my sites.

I love Hostgator.. Tried Host1plus.com recently and am pretty impressed with their support and hosting service. The owner is here too.

I've used Godaddy and it sucks. So I have moved to hostgator. Well I am very satisfied with them. easy to manage, friendly cpannel, you can instal WP, Joomla very easy and also you have AWStats for traffic accuracy.

personally use 1and1 and I like them. Probably get 2-3 hours downtime per year, they back everything up their end (I do backups as well so I know Im ultra safe). anything else I dont care about.

just a thought why dont you ask around in the forum if someone around here owns a dedicated server thats got some space and bandwidth they dont use? maybe you can find someone to share a dedi with this should resolve the slow page loading issues.

Let me know your spec requirements and I can get you set up with a custom package, if you'd like.

I'm on linode, it's a VPS, but it comes clean. It's roughly $25/month for the chepest plan and it's been running smoothly for me so far.

Easy to upgrade too if I should have to. I also like their backup option for an extra $5 a month, I can't think of any service that offers all that for $30/month.

I use Bluehost for all of my sites. It's cheap, awesome speed/up-time, great support, and unlimited sites on the same plan. WP is quick and easy to install as well.

Hawkhost is the highest rated fastest best value host around. I searched for 8 min on google read tons of reviews they were all awesome 5 stars.
