Hosting for 5-8 sites?

I don't mean to hijack this thread, but I have a question and I think the OP might benefit fromth answer too.

If I want to build 10 sites for the sake of my own website SEO work (i.e. posting articles to the 10 sites pointing to my main site) do I need them hosted by different hosting companies or does it really matter?

just don'in interlink them and you should be fine...
if you plan inter-linking those sites, you should consider having few hosts...
 
Hostgator's 9.95$ plan is good as well for hosting multiple domains
 
I use hawkhost for 2 years and I have to say they are good.

You can pay monthly - a little bit more expensive than the year plan, but you can cancel at any time.
 
hostgator's baby plan, need no more than this.
They have 24/7 customer support as well. I'm happy with them.
