If you'd like to play it smart I'd do it through their affiliate panel from their website for the small $50, rather than risking $100 because they're shady on CJ like that. With their own affiliate system you can actually track your visitor's websites. Also if you get more than 10-15 sales a month you'd get paid more than they'd pay via CJ.

Looks like HG are a bunch of greedy little you-know-whats who don't want to pay affiliates whether it be from their affiliate panel, or through other advertisers.

On the topic of HG and CJ, I signed up for the HG affiliate program is CJ, I test my link, and lone behold, a coupon code (not mine) is already entered. Does this mean that besides screwing their own affiliates, they are also screwing over CJ affiliates (who are spending their valuable time sending paying customers to HG) by simply STEALING their referrals?

The only positive thing HG provides are the rates, and some of the best service for their customers. However they generate their large customer base from us, their "valued" affiliates. I for one, after reading all of the stories about affiliates not getting paid by HostTraitor, have decided to promote other webhosts instead through CJ (and not just one ).

YEah I complained they took my site down and charged my card so I wanted credit couple months free hosting ahd the bloke more or less said some excuse and fuck off.

Hostgator is good but little bit expensive.
