I received the same email and was about to get that offer, but I see you guys hate hostgator here , are there better hosts out there for the same price? I used to pay monthly 9$ at hostgator. Any advice will be appreciated!

If you have just a handful of sites and are looking for shared hosting, you want to stay away from hostgator. I assume the OP has no clue as to how badly they can be at uptime and customer support.

Take a look at asmallorange as they may be helpful for you if you have just a couple of sites and need shared hosting. I've been testing them and have gotten good results the past 3 months with them.
