I agree with you, but I it seems to me that the american public is completely ok with this. They act all outraged every time that a big company is caught actually using the data that you gave them, but they still use Facebook, Google, YouTube, Honey, PayPal, Twitter, and the list goes on. Nobody really wants to put their money where their mouth.Only if you value your privacy.
I'm not going to turn this into a political discussion, but mass collection of personal data - and the weaponization of that data - has gotten us where we're at today in the United States. That kind of information can be used to sway public opinion & do all kinds of other shady stuff.

This is funny because ANY website owner can sell website data on Doubleclick Data Marketplace, AppNexus or Adform![]()
To me it was pretty obvious it's just like another FB pixel? No?
It can literally track everything, including what you search for on sites that don't use analytics tools. This is stronger than the info Google/FB gets from us.
