Holy shit! ebay fees are high

Honestly for all the traffic eBay brings and how simple it is to sell things I think their fees are very reasonable, Imagine how long it would take if you wanted to sell your stuff on your own created website and had to bring in your own traffic.

I agree. You just need to find things which are worth selling, and that is the hardest part

I sold a product with 30.9 in toys categories. ebay fees => 3.10 | paypal fees => 1.66
So eBay and paypal fees is 15.3 %

lately i've been in the dvd selling game and i thought they took 10% like all the other categories. man i was wrong, just found out they take 12%. after paypal, that's 15%! just like amazon.

agree. fees too much on ebay, but unfortunately not exist other big online auctions

Compared to amazon ebay is a total waste of time. In our case amazon represent more than 99% sales compared to ebay.

Well ebay and Paypals co-operation is just to come to an end in 2020, so you won't have to pay Paypal fees, that isn't say that their new card payment processor won't add fees on top.
I actually prefer having Paypal atm as I get a slightly discounted Paypal fees because of the amount of sales I make a month, and IDK if I will loose this in 2020 and have to start paying higher fees with ebays new payment processor.

You'll be able to use both, or either or.
They allowed some of us into the new credit card processing already.
Fees are a flat 2.7%.
Works great, but they kinda dicked us over by not making it clear we wouldn't be able to accept PayPal until next summer if we signed up.

eBay fees are high, but still lower than on Amazon

its high, but we sell tons
eBay fees are high, but still lower than on Amazon
Amazon is far better than Ebay by experience. If you are FBA you are 100% protected and 95% autopilot. Ebay waste of time with support, they are protecting clients but sellers can be owned. In the long term Amazon have of course a better ROI than Ebay. And Ebay sales are awful. It represent lower than 1% sales compared to amazon FBA, same niche.

And ebay support is like Google ads, 100% ghost.

I had about 9 grand worth of laptops, and sold the first one at normal eBay fees and it was horrid. Then I signed up for the basic store for $25.00 a month and the fees were reduced quite drastically. It was a long time ago, or I would give exact numbers. I think it was like $190 in fees for a $1500 laptop, and then the next one sold and it was like $90 in fees.

I will be happy if I payed only this I sell in fiverr the comission is very high, the buyer pays 7$ and I receive 4$ and for receive in paypal I lost more 10% in average more one fee per transaction.
