Holding BTC

It wouldnt surprise me at all if it goes down to that figure. If you already have Bitcoin then you can just sit tight, if it does go that low, buy some more for sure. But if you dont have any Bitcoin and you are waiting to jump in, but hesitating because you think price will go lower, I would say just buy it and don't worry about the price because in my experience its the biggest factor that results in people never buying Bitcoin - because they always think its the wrong time to buy and the result: they never buy any.
So, i bought BTC around $90k(I know it's bad), should i put atleast $100 now?

No one could actually answer. But if you are concerned about catching the falling knife, always stick to DCA so you spread your risks across various price points.

Most importantly, don't keep looking at the charts. :)
Can you please tell me more about this thing "DCA", I have some funds and i am thinking to buy some more coins, I would like to try thing "DCA" but explain what it is

nobody has these answers. people say they do but nobody knows where the price will go and for how long. some things go to 0 forever. the truth is nobody knows.

Sure, DCA means Dollar Cost Averaging. Basically you invest a fixed or any amount you are comfortable with over a period of time, like $100 a month so you spread your risks by lowering your price entry points.

Let's take this month as an example:
1) BTC is at $67,000 and you invest $100 so you own 0.0014925 BTC.
2) In March, BTC is at $70,000 and you invest another $100 so you own 0.0014285 BTC. Your total BTC balance is now 0.0029210 BTC.

If you decide to sell your 0.0014925 BTC from February in March:
1) $70,000 * 0.0014925 BTC -> $104.47

You just made a profit of $4.47 from your February investment of $100.

Don't you trust people's experience?

Yes, of course, BTC will hit 100K again, don't worry. Just do your job and check your wallet once a day. Don't panic sell.
Noted!

Thank you for the explaination but what to do with the 2nd $100 invested? I made $4.47 but my $100 are also bonded!

the market plays by the rules but it's also random. other people's experience and opinions have nothing to do with what will happen in the future. look, I'm not saying that BTC goes to zero, but that you should judge these things based on risk analysis and not what people on a forum or Reddit are saying. I'd bet that 99% of the people who state these opinions never heard of Sortino ratio or mean reversion.

Market may go downwards further but it will get back to the top for sure, everyone should hold rather than getting exit with loss

I also have 0.78 BTC right now but in loss
having trump or similar coins is lost money. having btc during bear, even if the current price is half of the price you bought it, it is just temporarily blocked money. if you can wait, you will get your money back, and earn. predictions for the next "all time high" are from 150k to 250k

I completely agree with the idea of holding onto BTC for the long-term, as many of you have mentioned. It's interesting to see the varying predictions on the future price of BTC, from $100k to $1m. I'd like to add that, in addition to historical trends and adoption rates, it's also important to keep an eye on the development of the overall crypto ecosystem, including improvements in scalability, security, and regulatory clarity. For those who are planning to hold onto their BTC, do you have a plan in place for managing potential short-term price fluctuations, or are you simply focusing on the long-term growth?
i was playing with crypto before, like buy when it drops, sell when it goes up 5-15%, and making money on it. it was cool, exciting. anyway, during bull it is hard to loose money.
after several months i made a calculation and the result was this:
- yes, i made money
- but if i just bought btc on the start of that period and sold it on the end, i would make even more.
it is my experince

I am also holding 50+ sol but all in loss, My average price is 126$

If you bought btc at 100K then the best strategy now is to hold since right now the bitcoin is down bad :(. You can take the loss now also but is a big chance it will go back up in time and i don't think bitcoin will go to 0 or be irelevant
