Hiding address in Google Mybusiness listing

Was looking at one of my competitors and realized he didn't have his business address showing up on his G listing. Mine was set for servicing customers at my location which is not correct. I'm in the "trades" and service my customers at their location. I'm also not near the "city center" which the address could've been hurting my results.

I've since changed my listing to hide my address/service customers at their location/doing business within 25 mile radius. Hopefully after a few weeks my listing will start to show better results because I have more Citations/Backlinks than my competitors.

Anyone have experience with this and changing the settings and seen results?

Well this morning I seen I'm ranking for all kinds of keywords within the 3 pack. I've always ranked for a certain geo phrase in maps but now for non geo keywords as well.

For the non geo keywords I'm ranking for, previously I never ranked when it was a 7 pack. Can't be sure what caused the major increase in rankings/including organic because I've done several things over the past few weeks.
Was starting to think it'd be impossible to rank for all possible keywords in maps but it's not.

Not sure which part you're talking about verifying.
