I heard all these fascinating stories about people being their own boss and earning thousands of pounds simply by sitting behind their screen. I got excited and motivated and decided to do some research to look for a decent forum that teaches and guides in this area. (And that is not full of scams). After my final selection, I choose this forum and I am hoping it will help me reach my goal and learn some tricks from your experts. I am Laura in my final year psychology major, from England, I have zero knowledge about internet marketing. I read some of the contributions to this forum and to be honest, I struggled sometimes to understand some keywords. whether this it the right place for me as a beginner or not, I am willing to learn and improve my web marketing skills, but for me to do that I need some support and guidance from you guys and hopefully I will be able to fund my PHD for next year :) (fingers crossed)

Hey there,

Welcome! You're in the right place, but you gotta dig through a lot of noise to get the real gold nuggets of information.

There are a lot of people who make a lot of money here, but there are even more who just read and theorize and have no practical experience who will post misinformation.

My advice is to spend a lot of time reading, and try to identify the most prolific posters and go through everything they have posted in the past couple of years. It's a lot of information to take in all at once, but if you're truly excited about making this work, the learning can be a lot of fun. Just make sure that you also go out there and take action on what you read, because the real learning comes only from experience.

You won't regret joining this forum Laura, welcome to BHW!

Hi Laura,
Welcome to the forum. I recently created this thread which might be of some use as a starting point.

On a more cynical point, I find it interesting that you say you are a
final year psychology major, from England
as I am also from the UK and have heard no British person refer to a degree as a 'major' - it's a very American term. Though why you would lie about where you are from is beyond me. . .

I am an international student, I hope this information will make things clear to you.

You are absolutely right, I think a good start as you said is the reading of the theories and then bring them to them to practice. I appreciate your answer thanks
