Guys! I've been reading about affiliate marketing and not so long ago I decided to make it happen. The only problem was, I did not have 500-600 bucks to start things up. So... My friend offered me the starting money, so I can get things going, but he wants 30% of all future earnings.

In your opinion, is this a good deal? Should I accept it and start? Or should I negotiate? Or should I save my own money (which due to my income is a lil bit hard) and start from my own?

I would really appreciate your thoughts!

Thanks a lot for your time!

...future updates coming soon...

30% of your income is quite a big chunk, however, what is your agreement if you don't succeed? If he takes this risk and you will not have to return those investments, then it is not such a big percentage.

BTW you also have an option to start slow by using free resources, etc and earn than startup capital you need for your other ideas.

And this is only you, who can make a decision. Just calculate what is better outcome whether to start faster with 30% of your income giving to your friend or start slower but keeping 100% of income.

Thank you for your reply!

Are you sure this is your friend? 30% is a lot!
Start yourself better - use any free methods, the forum is full of materials in this direction.
If you do not have enough experience in this direction, no investments will help you - you just waste them and lose your “friend”.

Either save your own money - even if it takes next couple of months to save it OR 30% of future earnings is ok, BUT for the next year for example, or 18 months max. 30% chunk of your future earnings with no time period limitation is a bit ridiculous in my opinion.

That's a fair point to be honest. Thank you very much!

Fair enough. Thank you my man!

Why do you need $500-600 for starting out?
All you need is a domain and hosting for a year which if chosen wisely would add upto $75.
If you don't want that either, just buy a domain for $0.99 at the time of offers and host via blogspot.
30% is a huge margin but losing the money is a bigger risk.

Even these costs can be avoided if you think about it!
You can use social networks and do everything manually.
But in general, everything is correctly said - no money invested will help if you do not know exactly what to do.

I suggest you to learn basic skills of A/B testing, significant advertising tests and then if you are sure that your are good with it - start from advertising offers which are easy to reach for a lead conversion. Usually such offers do not pay much money but it allows you to gather enough data to make analysis and optimising of your ads

I want to add that if in case of scenario when you do not have to give money back to your friend if you waste them - then it's a good idea to try yourself without any risks. Many media buyers start by using other people's money to get some by giving them some percentage of profits just to get some experience with it. Do not hurry to lose your own money man

Save your own money. Why he will get a 30% if he's not going to put work with u..

Is this really your friend? Sounds like a shylock to me. Negotiate it down to less than 10%; if not, it'd be in your best interest to just walk away.
