Hi!

I want to introduce myself because it's a polite thing to do but honestly there's not much to say about me other than I am a geek full time.
I got interested in IM not a long time ago and I learned quite a lot of things about SEO but I'm still a newbie, though. Therefore I decided to subscribe to this forum because I read some posts and tricks that kick a$$

Hope to learn a lot from you and to help you if I can ;)

I got some questions for you:

- How did you get interested in IM?

I got interested in IM back when I was selling computer hardware in the 1990's. I started messing with SEO just for kicks but then when sales started rolling in magically from the WWW, I expanded outside my own niche and became a SEO name in town, putting many types of businesses #1 spot on Infoseek and Altavista and generating lots of sales for the clients. Eventually I had a bunch of clients paying me good money.

Then came Google and initially it was pretty easy to rank, kinda like Altavista. But then they got really smart and the games began. And here we are today.

Welcome aboard, I got interested way back in 2000 when I was introduced to Microsoft FrontPage and I built my first site and earned 1 dollar commission from a banner. I still have the cheque framed
 
Hi welcome to the forum. I got into IM first around 12+ years ago. Maybe longer. The first website I ever built (And its still going today) was a finance website. It started of on freewebs or some other free web hosting site and it was the most basic site ever.

Then I started ranking a few sites for friends, then professionally for a few clients.

Back then I was just doing directory submissions and link exchanges and that was working well for local clients.

Every time I had a question and searched on Google i kept finding pages on black hat world and eventually after maybe being in IM for a couple of years I signed up here and it just blew my mind - because i thought i was a total IM Pro when I joined, and shortly afterwards realised I hardly knew anything compared what there was to know.

The rest is history :-)

Anyway, its good you have joined OP and hopefully you will find as much useful info here as I have.

So you already started from a professional activity.
I was just 17 years old kid that wanted to make a lot of people vote for my reviews (yes, it was one of those crappy sites where you have to write products' reviews)... guess what there was also an affiliate program where you cloud earn 1$ for each person who subscribes for the website. Then I just spammed in FB groups and finally got 43 subscribers. It's not a lot but I realized that I could earn more with other affiliate programs.
 
Nothing wrong with being a geek, some chicks dig it haha! but welcome to BHW and I became interested in IM from having a conversation with a stranger that told me about their journey and they directed me here to learn. So once again, welcome!
