Hi, My name is Mike and I am here to learn & earn my way to a 0 effort side income to rival my day job. I have been a cloud/voice/web/mobile developer for almost 20 years in Austin, TX. I have worked in C#, PHP, JavaScript, Python, SQL and many other programming languages over that time on Windows, Linux and Mac OS. I started my career in 1996 as a graphic designer, moved into network engineering when I attained a CCNA, then became a domain administrator in .NET 4. I got interested in programming around 1998 and I started out in Classic ASP with VBScript to Access DBs. LOL. As time progressed, I moved to C# & JavaScript for web projects at work. Around 2012 I wrote my first phone app for the fledgling Apple App store. I ended up creating about 30 apps in less than a year for the app stores and had them on there for quite some time before sales died down and I let my Developer licenses expire. I am proud to say I have an official letter from Apple telling me to cease & desist from producing apps since they were too similar in functionality (wrote my own generator in C#) and recommended I should instead move to an in-app purchase model. I got lazy around that time and just let it go. I was frustrated bc in 2004(ish) timeframe I got banned from Google Ads for falsifying ad clicks which to this day I emphatically deny. Long story. I am still banned from Google Ads and AdMob so those chips are off the table. I am interested in trying to get back in that game but I think the App boat may have left the port for sure. I have never done anything with dropshipping or e-commerce so to speak. I have lots of experience, lots of technical know-how but hardly any business savvy or knowledge of how to take something making from $10 a day to $10000 a day. I have these ideas and I will go through the motions but sticking to things has proven difficult. I am a paralyzed perfectionist when it comes to things not being right and that has become my entrepreneurial downfall.
I have a laundry list of skills & decades of experience in almost every aspect of the Software Development Lifecycle. If you'd like more information please hit me up. I am looking mainly for where I can make money and would prefer to do so with 0 maintenance efforts. Not sure what else to say, if you need any assistance, or think I might be able to help look at some code, help with process or pipeline creation, screen scraping, source control management, wordpress development, chrome app development, any thing .NET too feel free to ask me about.
