Hey guys,

I am really interested to hear how you are getting on with automation on IG, I used to use Jarvee but it got to a point where I was getting locked for following 20~ people a day (at one stage I was managing to stay under the radar with 800-1,000 a day!)

Hey, there are some basic recommendations:
1. Avoid using apps that use Instagram API on your main (and even child) profiles, like Jarvee did
2. Don't exceed Instagram's limits (100-150 follows and unfollows per day, some say 150, but I prefer not to put it too close to the limits and I do 100 each follow and unfollow). 800-1000 is unreachable now)
3. Increase your daily limits gradually. There is a featule for this in my tool.

Oh, and of course, filtering is essential.

I filter every user to filter out content creators and bots/spammers to focus on content cunsumers by 15 filters like numbers of posts, followers, following, profile pic, url, stop words in description, etc. So I don't follow every person from the list, it's like 4 of 10 to follow. Its more natural for Instagram. No action blocks so far with filtering.

So mind me asking---- what's the automation tool the creator is looking to build with a marketing guy helping on the sides, with promotion and sales?

Hey,

Yeah, why not? Say, I've got resources for you to automate Instagram. And you have a resources for me to promote my tool somewhere else. Cool. Or I can create a similar tool for another social network in the future and we can collaborate this way. I'm not asking for free help. However free help will be always great))

Welcome mate! You have got an excellent obsession! :)
Good luck with improving your marketing skills.

What are you using on Instagram if not their i.instagram.com API? A browser?
Hey, yeah, exactly. My tool is a browser extension, pretty powerful one. Not just a button, a timer and that's it. It can do different tasks and do it 24/7 without your attention. It sleeps, makes pause breaks, rotates tasks, filters users and posts as I mentioned here earlier. The main benefit of a browser extension is that you don't have to use IG API which may be dangerous for your main/child profiles. The downside for me as a developer is that tool has to be always up to date with the website version. Instagram website is always evolving and changing, but I made a working solution to keep up with these changes)

Oh, and I forgot to mention that because it's a browser extension, it doesn't require your login information: username/password. Which again leads to user's safety. Not using IG API and login information was two main resons why I choose a browser extension developement.

When you say 150 follows/unfollows a day do you mean 150 total? So for example 100 follows and 50 unfollows? Or do you mean 100 of each? Are you thinking about offering any mother/child services?

But if it's a browser extension, how do you run hundreds or thousands of accounts?
This would be something an individual installs on his computer to run a few of his accounts, nothing an agency could use to manage client accounts, right?

From my experience, one used laptop with 16 gigs of ram can handle up to 25 profiles running simultaneously, maybe more. With future update which will allow to automate multiple Instagram profiles in one browser window while other profiles sleep, this number can be easily multiplied by 2 or even 3 times. So 50-75 profiles daily on a single used $200 laptop. Not as cheap in terms of resources as Jarvee or other desktop apps using IG API, but much safer for your profiles. The choice is yours. Some agencies are automating real android devices or using android emulators! Compared to this browser extensions method is much cheaper.

I wish you the best of luck with your method and I hope it will work well.
From my experience, you could run into IP issues running so many accounts (unless you use 4G but then it would be suspicious you use a laptop on a mobile network) and browser fingerprinting issues so you should keep that in mind when issues occur.

Hey, yeah, I'm all into it))
Thanks)

Please use the multi-quote function if possible, as it makes the threads flow much easier. How to multi-quote can be found here Newbie Guide

Yeah, I know about IP issues. It's a huge topic to discuss. To be short, for relatively small individuals it's good using public IP addresses with big amount of real Instagram users. Let's say, in a big city's district. So you're hiding your activity behind thousands of people. It's totally safe to automate 20 or even more profiles like this. But if you're using web services or automating lots of profiles, you'll have to use proxies, because you can't hide any more. As for browser fingerprinting, everything can be solved, you can change browser ID, device ID, etc. And people often use 4G modems for their home networks too)

Thank you for your questions, it really helps understanding what your personally care about)
