As much as you probably could in fact win a fight with them over that, it would be an error to think its an overall win. The real loss would be in taking your eye off the ball, and distracted focus from profit generating activity...

I agree 100%; this is the 4th domain that has been taken from me in a similar manner over the past 8 years or so... the other 3 were sites I built, ranked and monetized. I've never fought with them as, even if I were to win, the cost would be high and the energy expenditure would wear out a triathlete.
Plus if one does lose the civil award could be in the millions and the risk reward does not compute.

Register androidconnections.net/.com and show them who's boss
not a good suggestion. (once domain will be active they will get it again because BTB is using domain to sell services which manipulate play store)
I will suggest you to buy roidconection.net and then make site on subdomain and.roidconection.net . They can get that domain.

Wow BTB, I've never seen that before. How did Google just get control of the registrar details though? Did godaddy/markmonitor, or which ever registrar you use just hand it over? I thought that could only be done through the high court, if you originally registered the domain name...

The domain was registered via Internetbs initially.
I received an 11 page PDF email from [email protected] with the subject Google Inc. v. Domain Admin Whois Privacy Corp. (ANDROIDCONNECTION.NET) explaining that I was violating their mark.
It was a fair amount of legalese but they basically said that they would just like the domain turned over to them and did not want to pursue civil action. They could have come after me for real money and probably would have cost me a ton in legal fees if I contested any action.
I offered to hand it over without any struggle.
Funny thing is that they have not changed the nameservers after the transfer so the site is still up. I guess I could put up a CPA offer and make a couple of dollars on Google at this point in time but I think I'll just let this pass.

Funny the love Google shows us. Invites us to play with their advertising money and make them richer than ever, but when you try to profit using them instead of them using you... Well, at least they don't send those million dollar Harvard lawyers after us relatively small fish.
And Greg, you should definitely flip the bird at Google by making money off their stupidity.

I had this happen once. It was a apple related domain. There really is no other choice but surrender or spend a ton of money. It hurts when they can take something that belongs to you. Better to be humble then prideful.

They did same thing to me. Only difference was it wasnt a direct email. My whois was privacy protected so they filled a domain dispute Arbitration first and cancelled whois then sent me same legal documents. in the end they took over domain name and transferred it to a different registrar. After that i have stopped using trademark in domain names.

It doesn't cost a ton of money, only when one is tricked by a liar(lawyer) into giving him money to waste time doing bogus research and "hours" at court.
