    Hey Guys.

Ok so I have this company who I've been speaking to who sell for example Wedding Cakes and they are based in Kent, They are called Cakes'r'us.

Now I have a domain name called weddingcakesinkent.com (just an example) which has 5,400 monthly searches on Google.

If I was to contact cakes'r'us and say I have a domain name that gets 5,400 searches a month and would they like to rent it for £x a month, they say yes and I point the domain to their cakes'r'us website.

Would google rank it and consider the content of their website as good enough to place it in first place (or close) or is it more complicated than that?

    Thank you.

If your site is just pointed to their website, NO, Google will not rank it in the first place.
Your best bet is, to develop your website, add content, rank it in the first place for your keyword, and after this contact the company and offer them advertising space on your website.

I would agree with Herbar, was a redirect is in place the site will start to drop rapidly, you would do much better agreeing a plan earlier and basing the site on the brand so a redirect is not needed, once the site is where you want it the £x rent could start.

Develop it first, and then rank it. Then ask if they want to rent a space on your website.

    as for $1-2XX per month.

Thanks for the replies guys. Unfortunately I have no idea how to rank it and every guide I've read just goes way over my head really. Thanks anyway.
