Help with source of Google penalty

Hi.

I don't know if i posted in the right section but here it goes:

I have a lengerie website... Two main keywords targeted and they bounce from the first page to the 10th page. I know this is a Google penalization but I can't figure out the source.

On page optimization is done spotless, keyword density is ok, the targeted pages have an article in the footer section (in the source code they are in the body section).

As the off-page goes, there are lots of links from PR2+ that redirect to the website (almost as the no1 in SERP for those keywords), the density of the anchors are ok (I've compared with my competitors and it's the same). There are no dodgy links pointing to the site, no sandboxed domains, no blacklists.

The conclusion is that I'm stuck, I can't figure where this penalty is coming from, I've banged my head over a few walls about this issue and I'm really out of bullets and kinda depressed. If you have any idea I would really be in your debt, like forever :).

If necessary I'll PM you with the url of the domain.

This doesnt seem like a penalty if its going back and forth..is the domain new? its probably just dancing because you need more authority to rank along the top dogs on page 1. You can get more links from other notable lingerie sites to stabilize you positions
 
Nope that's not it. It has PR3, just like the top 1 site and it's about 3 years old. I've excluded that from the start.
 
You got hit by Panda 3.3 update that occurred around Feb 17th.

Google "Panda 3.3" and you can read all about it.

My site got crushed by the update.

Couldn't be anything else than panda 3.3? Because it has been doing this well before feb 17.
 
It's Panda 3.3 some of our websites got hit on February 24 although Panda 3.3 was implemented on the 17th.

i do believe that more and more websites are still getting hit by Panda 3.3 as time goes by.

same things happened to all our sites, but luckily i think I figured it out how to regained the rankings :) .. but still the experiment is still on going and i will apply it to all my other sites
 
well thanks for helping, if anyone has any more ideas please enlighten me :)

you realize this is dangerous right? especially with giving away your niche, some information on ranking + this piece of information.
Wouldn't be to hard for a competitor to find out which site is yours and report you to google for cloaking... (at least it sounds like cloaking to me... )
 
it's not cloaking man... the text is displayed right... nothing is tampered with regarding that matter

i'll just let you know soon.. we're not yet done in experimenting.. but hopefully it would be successful too with our other sites

Hi mate, I might have misunderstood you there. Can you clarify what you mean by "article in the footer"? Do you mean that you have a page of content and then within the footer dropped in an article also?
 
You can build more backlinks for regaining your site rank at the top. This is not google penalty , google dance you can say.
