i sell different stuff locally and i decide to sell on ebay but i have an issue with the shipping prices e.g. another seller is selling same item as mine $35+8.25 shipping.

Me selling that item for the same price but when i go to print the shipping label is like $17+ and i cant seem to find a cheaper option, weight of the item 4.lb 5.oz - how the hell can they ship for cheaper??? And i can't ask the buyer to pay $17 for shipping ???

If you're shipping within US, a fedex ground package for 5 lbs is about 8.25

so that what they use uh, thanks for answering and yes shipping within US

another question how about i want to send a package of 2-4 pounds should i go with fedex or usps? .

Sounds like price is probably the deciding factor for you, so maybe just go with the cheaper option. Personally I use only usps because they are close to my house and fairly reliable and reasonably priced.

Depends on the size. If it fits within a flat rate envelope or a box, it's often cheaper to send by USPS.

Your competition is using a flat rate box with USPS

Love the priority flat rate boxes. You always know the cost ahead of time and get there fast with tracking so my money gets released fast.
