Hey ok, i am currently ranking 6th for a 6,600 exact match GMS keyword, the CPC is £2.22. My website at this time has little or no content, but due to the low competition i have been able to rank it easily.

However, my issue is that the term users would be googling for would usually be for a games website, but the title has nothing to do with it i.e. wet duvets, but its a games site. I want to do some onpage SEO, but i dont know whether to do some articles on wet duvets and then post them so they are SE friendly, or do a full on games website.

I know its all about the users, but i dont want users to turn up to my website, realise its not what they were expecting and then turning back to google. So please, can i have some advice on how i should tackle this issue??? What kind of content i should put up or should i just go with a fullon games website?

    Thanks!

If the users are getting in your site expecting to see some information and that they see is completely different it is not OK. Google call this bad user experience, and sites like that are going to be penalized with lower ranking.

I understand what your saying mate, and thats what i want to avoid, however, yet still optimise my website onsite, so that its SEO friendly. Im not entirely sure my users are looking for a games website, but everything points towards it.

I'm not sure exactly what you're trying to do, but in most cases you should develop the content of a long-trail domain to match the keywords in the domain name.

well i have the EMD and everything, but i dont know whether to make it like a normal MNS, with optimised articles, or make the website more optimised for users, ie actually make it a games website and give the users what they are looking for. Obviously going down the article route is easier, but may have bad effects on how long the user spends on my website.
The site ranking first is a games website, although not optimised at all for the keyword.
