Hey, so I got a new phone and upon trying to login I was met with a “error cannot send password reset” my phone number Sous this work too

can do anything to prove this is my account

I’m disabled and instagram is my livelihood till I get back on my feet, please please help me get back on it

support has been useless,

Try these :


// In case internet is the issue
Reconnect Wifi ---or---- use a vpn

// In case its a phone/app issue
Use web to login and see if that works
Use web's forgot password if it doesnt (this option sometimes works even if nothing else does)

Have tried both of these options:/

when I put forgot password it says “ error cannot reset password”
Really strange

Okay 2 more scenarios :


// It may be a temporary error
Try again in a bit

// It may be your account
Try logging into another instagram account (If this works then the problem is your account and you need to contact instagram support)
 
The problem came after my girlfriend created a instagram for my dog under my email, seems to have made it forget my other account.

iv logged into 3 different accounts on my phone/computer, just not @emmettdockery (the one I need)
 
The issue seems to be in that account - if today is the first time this issue came about, I'd highly suggest waiting 24 hours before trying it again. Instagram's system is REALLY messed up and these things do happen.

Alternatively, try asking the IG experts over at mpsocial.com
 
Have you registered this Instagram account with an email or just phone number? If you used an email, maybe login to that email and type instagram onto the search bar to find the verification email they sent you when you created the account. Try clicking the verification link again and see if it works.

Or like @0verflow said, it could just be a temporary error.

EDIT :

I get it kind of..

Clear cookies/cache - if using chrome just make a new CHROME profile and try again - should be fine.

It's your cookies. No idea how to resolve it on your phone
