You need to do some reading about the statistical realities of conversion ratios. If your "real" conversion ratio is 1:500 (fairly typical for CB for general traffic) then you could have 2 more sales in the next 500 clicks to bring your ratio into line.

You could also just be promoting shitty tours... I would expect 10%+ CTR to the join page from a semi decent tour. You could just have shitty traffic too. You don't mention too many specifics.

Sounds like you need to presell a little better.

If they are clicking through the sales should be better than that.

I had trouble with CB conversions too, probably fed a lot of email signups to the sellers, then really got peeved when CB stated taking my money if I did not meet sales quota - cheap move on their part

That's not ever going to happen...

- sometimes people just make typing mistakes on the order form
- http errors and timeouts mean a certain number of transactions are never completed because of simple networking problems
- some form submits are filled with bogus info or stolen cards - worse in some niches than others eg anything that appeals to young people will have a higher fraud rate
- these days 10-20%+ of CC transactions are declined for lack of funds (recession)
- the CC processor will always scrub a certain % of transactions as fraud checking and you will always get a few false positives that mean that legit transactions are declined for some reason. This is worse at the end of the month as the processors and merchant account providers start scrubbing harder to keep below the chargeback and refund rates allowed by Visa / Mastercard etc.

If you send 10,000 visitors to a sponsor and get 9 signups, then 68% of the time when you send 10,000 visitors, you expect to attain between 6 and 12 signups (6 +/- 3) and 95% of the time you expect to attain between 3 and 15 signups.

Yeah, getting clickbank conversions is going to have a low conversion ratio unless you have highly highly targeted traffic.

depends on product and traffic. Sometimes they just click on "buy now" banner and then see the price. Then they just leave the page if price is not good for them.

1000 hops and 40 order form means that the product not very good or your landing page gives them unreal review and they just leave after they get disappointed. One of the niche that I have websites in, has about one sale for 15 hops. (too bad I don't get lot's of traffic xD )

I think your visitors didn't expect order page if you know what i mean. Maybe there was a button named download and took them to order page. Because as you said 40 order form impressions 1 sale is very low rate.

I think you must have untargetted traffic with such a low ratio. Work on getting targetted traffic.

I agree that you need to send more targetted traffic. Do some A/B/C testing with a presales page. Also, hope that your sales don't turn into refunds.

Yes, this is so true. Highly targeted traffic is what clickbank needs. I have a site dedicated to one clickbank product only, receiving 25 visitors a day max, 5 hops and 1 sale, which I think is good enough considering I don't do SEO at all.

I setup my new site with an initial 10 keywords, leave it for 15 days with getclicky installed. After that, I scrub the generated keywords used to find my site and write articles for them. I keep my site/blog alive by adding 1-2 articles every 2 weeks or so.

Also, Seo Rank Reporter (a wordpress plugin) also generates the keywords used to find my site. Not as good as getclicky but also helps me find the right longtail keywords to target for my next article.

Well it could be very normal depending on what you are selling and how. For example:

I had site that held #1 in google for several months until I deleted content. the keyword was free dmv records. I got number one by buying two blasts from thesilent who is awesome and also I had 100 original static pages of content.

1. this site would not have passed adsense TOS so I never tried.
2. I was recieving 600 uv's a month.
3. I had a link right on the front page that said click here for your records.
4. 95% of people clicked that.
5. Over months I got 1000's hops for the best records check affiliate.
6 No one bought any records. I was going for KW free records and guess what not a single one of them was willing to pay. Wow.

Maybe your situation not as clean and dry. Now I give you other clickbank product.

This is for a niche that I cannot say. My site looks like a corporate website for the product I sell. I never mention anything other than this is what we provide click here.

For this I have gotten 600 hops and made 84.00. My conversion rate is good and it works out to .14 cents per hop.

So I think you just have to find right product for right niche and go after it.

How have i made these sales? I have done manual craigslist ads only. 13 ads so far for four sales to 84.00.

okay, so im up to 1500 unique visitors; 350 order form impressions,over 60 submited order forms!!!; only 1 sale!!!!!; even some of my unique visitors have asked how come when they send the order forms, it doesnt work.

Should i make another account, is clickbank playing with me or disabled my sales?
has anyone had a similar experience.

Here's a possible solution. Tell customers to use mozilla firefox browser when ordering instead of internet explorer which has been known to crash on the the CC submission page. Also write a support ticket to your CB affiliate manager and ask them to check/reset your account .
