Keyword research help

Deal All,

I have been using Traffic Travis for the past two days and have come up with some aspiring leads. I believe there is a need for information on the subject and I can provide it. However, before taking the plunge, I needed to ask some questions about traffic travis keyword research. I am targeting the easy category and want to know if it is reliable. I know jack about SEO and it will be an adventure to say the least, but will it be worthwhile if I go for these keywords?

You should cross check the information with other Keyword Tools.
Also keep in mind the most important fields which are the Exact monthly searches
Competition and CPC.

I am targeting a micro niche and want to wet my feet before taking on a bigger challenge. The keyword I am targeting have close to 1000 searches per month locally (US that is), and combined across the 6 keywords I want to rank, the total comes close to 3k. Traffic travis marks them as Easy to Relatively easy.

PS- Although the search numbers are less, there are a lot of products that I can promote from Amazon and affiliates.

Tools are not always reliable so better to see it manually.
Check each of your keywords about the top 10 positions using google/ncr, proxies or vpn (it's more accurate).
- They are optimized for these keywords or not.
- Check their backlinks for the power of their backlinks.
- Are those the authority sites or not.
- ...

None have a page rank of 2 or higher, with the top 3 having (-). They have a page authority of 25, 1 & 25. Referring domains are 18, 0 & 9. Total backlinks to the website are huge though, 750,000 for the first two and 120K for the third. NO one has edu or gov links. On page SEO only has submission to DMOZ, with no one doing title, Description or H1 seo
