[HELP] Site load speed is over 4 s

My site speed with 8 products as of now is showing load speed of 4 s @pingdom. I tinypng'd all images before uploading, have like 3-4 necessary apps but still site speed over 4 s. So, I tested a famous site (yes they bank good) with around 18+ products has only 1.05 s ??

What do I need to do achieve low speed other than tinypnging all images and such?

Platform: Shopify. Venture Free theme.

If you click on each of the tabs below the results (pagespeed, y slow etc) it will show each individual item that needs fixing.
 
Maybe some script or a request is taking so long to respond. Your site might load, but a background request will make it "keep loading" untill its fully loaded. May you PM your site?

Those competitors have bad time compared to mine right? How are they continuing? Acc to similar web, visits are increasing on those sites.
 
In the same boat here, ran my test and the only errors seem to be Script based.

Anyone got any services that might help me and OP out at a correct price?
 
See the Waterfall tab and find out which URLs take a long time to load.
 
Send a picture of the waterfall graphic from gtmetrix for your site. You need to figure out what is happening during the 17s your page is taking to load. That will help you.

People will try to help you for free if you share the right information about your site. No need to necessarily disclose your URL. I'd advise starting your own thread for help though.
 
Better to use google LightHouse (https://web.dev/measure) instead of gtmetrix.
