Google 'hijackthis', great tool for removing unwanted browser hijacks.

Find name or partial name of this toolbar/trojan, search entire computer. Delete every instance of it from win32, and wherever else it went.

Download panda scan free online scanner

Uninstall Chrome-> Run combo fix-> install Chrome again. This should fix what ever problem you have.

Typically these adware programs install things in your browser no matter which one you use.

Uninstall any programs you dont recognize. Look at the dates you downloaded them. If it was recent and you dont know what it is uninstall.

Download adwcleaner here http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/adwcleaner/ its free

After uninstalling all the crap run adwcleaner. That usually takes care of the problem after a reboot.
