[HELP] PayPal halts some India payments - Indian Users

I am not sure what are the solutions but if RBI is objecting because Paypal is not authorized by the Indian authorities to deal in financial products in India, the same rule would apply to Xoom or whatever. I think till paypal gets a certification, one should just ask for payment by check. And yes, it does take a month to month and a half for the check to be encashed.

Wait, I can still receive money into my paypal account right? I don't need to encash it, just want it in my paypal account? Or will it be reversed?

try this link if your interested in xoom services. use this coupon FEBXOOM10 to get 100% waiver on service charges. I used it just a few minutes ago and it worked very well.

Xoom....How is service? I just visted the site. They charge heavy if I transfer from paypal..

Hey why don't you use 2CheckOut.

With 2CheckOut you can still recieve paypal payments.

Hope that helps..

Since yesterday I had a bunch of subscription cancellations at seo-proxies.com but customers did not wish to cancel and the credit card was ok.

Looks like paypal is really doing a sweep, as usual they do it unprofessional

Guys you can withdraw from xoom.I withdraw the money through xoom on monday and i got it on tuesday. So you can withdraw your paypal money through xoom.

Here is the information that i collected after searching whole day on internet about paypal issues with indian banks :

1. Why did you suspend local bank transfers and personal payments to and from India?

We temporarily suspended these services to respond to enquiries from the Indian regulators, specifically questions on whether personal payments constitute http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Remittances into India.
We're working with the regulators and our bank processing partners in India to get this resolved as quickly as we can. We realize that this is causing considerable inconvenience to our customers and I want to reassure you that this is a top priority for the leadership at PayPal

2. When will personal payments be turned back on?

The regulators recently let PayPal know about revised licensing rules that we are now actively engaged in securing. Personal payments to and from India will be suspended for at least a few months until we fully resolve the questions from the Indian regulators.

3. When will local bank withdrawals be available?

Customers should be able to withdraw their funds to a local bank within the next few days. In the meantime, we're going to restore the money into the PayPal accounts of any customers in India who have initiated a recent withdrawal, so they know that the money is safe in their accounts. Customers will also be reimbursed for any withdrawal fee charges.

4.The PayPal reversal has left me with a negative balance. What shall I do?

If you bought something or transferred money out of your PayPal account to your bank account before we reversed the payment then you may be left with a negative balance.
If this was a payment for a purchase of goods or services, you should contact the sender and have him or her resend the payment as follows:
(a) click the https://cms.paypal.com/us/cgi-bin/?cmd=_render-content&content_ID=marketing_us/send_money tab, and
(b) select "purchase."
If this was a personal payment, then the sender will need to find another payment method until we restore the service. We're sorry about this.
If you can't recover the funds from the sender, you can bring your PayPal balance current by logging in to the PayPal account and clicking the "Resolve Negative Balance" link on the Account Overview page.

5. My payment was reversed but it was not a personal payment. What happened?

Only personal payments should have been reversed. Customers who believe that their payments were reversed in error should request that the payment be sent again by following the steps above (click the Send Money tab and select "purchase.")
If you are still having problems, please https://www.paypal.com/us/cgi-bin/helpscr?cmd=_help&t=escalateTab

Indians only make rules nothing else. If this is going to be continued, Indians have to suffer a lot...!

In the last 2 days I lost 7 subscribers against their will.
They have valid and legal credit cards, wish to pay but are rejected now

Paypal sucks so bad.

Just change your account to business (if you are a personal user). give some crappy details - your identity (some driving license, pan card etc etc).
Paypal will then make u a business user. Once a business user, there is no problems with accepting/paying via paypal

Hi,
I use xoom for a couple of months then stopped working.
If someone pays with paypal via xoom account, the transaction will be canceled if your account is verified.
If someone pays with paypal via xoom account and your country listed paypal not receive money, the transaction is canceled.
I contact customer service xoom and I indicated that Xoom transactions are not for business purposes.
Greetings.

xoom is not working anymore for Indians
you cant send the payments from India to India
however your clients outside India can pay you via xoom

my transaction was canceled due to this

Guys xoom works just fine , if it is a new account they will need verifiy it , it they will not process your payment it will be immediately cancelled and credited back to your paypal account.

I used xoom 3-4 years back so its not a new company , bank transfers happens with in the next day atmost 2-3 days.

Just get verified give id proof , and address proof you will have no issue receiving your payment.
I have remitted more than $20k company is trustworth beyond doubt , as far as thier regulation with rbi is concerned they are a registred company and have a office in bombay...Hope this helps to all indian people...Good luck.

and honestly guys , conversion rate from xoom is good , but thir recent increase in fees..is a concern , but still you will get more money than paypal bank withdrawl method...Check it for your Self..
