* HELP * PayPal CLOSED my account ( 2300$ gone!!)

    Hey Folks :(


    Recently, i sold some blackberries on eBay ( dropshipping) . PayPal limited my account and they asked me for a tracking number and i gave it to them and it says DELIVERED. HOWEVER, they asked for wholesale invoices, and i gave them invoices. Next morning, i wake up and i receive an email saying " Your account has been closed". I called them to ask why, and they said " Our security measures required us to close the account". I am really pissed off and my business STOPPED because of that. I need help. Can someone help me get a VCC to start a new account since i have no other funding source.

    I can't help you with the VCC, but I can tell you that a client of mine lost 5x as much money last year when PP closed his account for no real reason at all. PP is an international bank which operates without any form of regulation. Your money is as safe at PP as it is at your local crack house. :eek:

    Call them, and tell them it's your own money and you have done everything legally, they have no proof. I wish someone sues PP for a lot.

    Really it's their choice whether they wish to do business with you or not, and some types of transactions present greater risk for them. Also keep in mind that since they are now owned by the auction site, they are more interested in protecting their members.

    I would look into either google checkout, getting a new merchant account,ect. I will say with all of their changes, they have really made the whole dropshipping business harder and harder for sellers. From the 27 day holds or confirmation of delivery,ect.

    PayPal has been sucking hard... I know how it feels mate, my account was closed for 6 month or soething insane like that, after which they released my money eventually... I'm no too familiar with PayPal right now, but did they flat out ban your account? Or was it more "Your account has been placed on hold and will be restored in 4 months"? Anyhow, PayPal are slimy scammers...

    My client was out over $10K and they never refunded him a penny. No holds there. Just flat out stealing. :eek:uch:

    As mentioned, you should be on the phone with them right now. I have had to deal with paypal a lot more than I want, and it is one nightmare after another with them. One thing that I have learned is that if you can't get an issue resolved with one customer service rep, you speak to a different one. It seems about 90% of them are incompetent, but if you keep trying you will get someone who will help you sort this out.

    A large difference between doing business with you and keeping your money if you ask me. OP wouldn't be that pissed if they said okay here are your 2,3K but we will close your account.

    BTW, further lessons from my client. He spent $1500 on lawyers. Threw that out along with the $10K PP stole. It's like fighting the damn government. Good luck! :(

    What really needs to happen is Paypal needs a really good dose of public bad publicity.
    John Q Public does not realize how much money PayPal is stealing from people, and if a big enough stink was made about it in public, they may come under government review.

    This just happened to me on my regular joe account. was sellign some crap around the house. Maybe making about $1000 a month. Decided , even thought i had a bad feeling, to sell a Ps3. Transaction went well. when I went to transfer only like half the money in my account, they limited my account. they were asking for suppliers. Well I'm not a business and I'm selling my shit. There is no supplier lol. Still working on fix this bullshit. Hopefully i could do this by the end of the week. Never listing anything over $150 again because of this limitation bullshit
