Help needed for Paypal US account

Hi,
I am from India and I got Paypal USA account. Now, recently, I got an email from them asking for "Tax id" like SSN or Employee identification no. They further mentioned that failing to do so will limit my account.

Can anyone please help how can I solve this issue?

Any one who face similar problem? Can anyone provide the solution for this?

Get another paypal account and quickly transfer all money to that and let them limit the previous one. Then you have nothing to lose

Well, until they ban both accounts for being linked to each other, that is.

Bad news: You are going to have to provide a valid Tax ID or they will eventually limit your account. There is no way around it, as it is a legal requirement, not paypal doing it themselves.

Good news: It usually takes them weeks or even months to limit your account so you have time to withdraw.

The only permanent solution is to start a LLC (Limited Liability Corporation) and start filing US Taxes (foreigners are allowed to own LLC's)

Thanks for your inputs. I already have Indian paypal account. I kept US paypal to save fees as Indian paypal does not allow to receive personal payments.

So how to start the limited liability corporation? What's the basic process?

Each state in the US has separate laws on how LLC's work. I make them in Wyoming because Wyoming has total confidentiality....you are not even required to file with the state who the owners of the LLC's are. The legal requirement to form an LLC is that you have to have a valid legal address within the state to receive legal mail. There is a service called an "agent" that files the paperwork for you and act as the legal address. It costs anywhere between $100-$200 to set this up and a yearly maintenance of $30-$70.

When you have an LLC, you use that with the IRS (tax authority for US govt) to obtain a tax id. You may have to register someone with a US SS# to act as the IRS contact for the tax id, but there are services that provide this also.

Or check on marketplace for Paypal verification services they must have tax id verification.

It's illegal to immitate tax id or EIN or SSN.
