[Help Needed] FB Pixel Tracking Setup

I'm a beginner to affiliate marketing and have a lead gen offer that I want to run. This is the set up I want to follow:

Ad -> Offer page (quiz) -> Thank you page

How can I set up my pixel correctly? My objective is leads, but if I am directly linking to the offer page, what should the conversion event be if I just need them to complete the quiz? Complete registration or something else?

You need to place a pixel in the header of your website so that the pixel can collect events and, if necessary, add additional events via Facebook if they are needed.

So I can't link directly to the offer page?

Even if I do this they would still complete the quiz on their website, so the pixel wouldn't fire once they complete it.
 
Of course it's linked, buddy, maybe you're doing a few steps wrong.
