OP, sounds like you are looking to "escape" something, or just that "school sucks!".
Not sure what it is, but looking back, I can tell you that all the concerns and issues you thought were important at that age, will seem minor in comparison to what life will bring you later (unless you are into crime, or something equally serious).
Enjoy your education. If you are so bent on having your own business, getting a degree in business might be up your alley.
Nobody can take your education away from you, and you cannot "lose" it. It compresses into a short time frame many, many years of experience you would MAYBE get through the "school of hard knocks".
At this point, with only a year or two to graduation, you should focus on your goals in life, and some high level plans to move in that direction. You are still at the point of exploring your interests, and figuring this stuff out, so no surprise if your specific goals change around. But, the idea is to shoot for something and work towards it. Choose things in your plan that will keep your options open and will open doors for you. Narrow your focus as you go (if you are heading for a degree, firm your choice by the end of your second year at college).
IM may or may not be a constructive part of your plan, only you can decide. It will be a tradeoff between alternatives available to you (e.g. for earning money) for effort and return.
Just passing on what I would have liked to have known explicitly at that age.
Good luck!
