Help me make a life changing decision.

I went to college, they teach you some stuff. Be sure to know what major you're aiming at and are actually interested in the stuff though if you go otherwise you'll have wasted your time.

I graduated with a Finance degree and found that the only jobs I could get were entry level 30k/year jobs (which I didn't spend 4 years of my life to earn that little) So in my last semester I looked into making money online, ran into a bunch of worthless ebooks, ran into stay-at-home-mom jobs, a couple other crap forums and then BHW- the best I've seen thus far. Now I'm not knocking people who make 30k a year or less, but with the right knowledge and action you can make 30k+ in a month doing internet marketing. However they don't teach you anything about internet marketing in school b/c if you had someone who was into internet marketing and did it successfully, they wouldn't be teaching a class for 60k/year.

Bottom line is if you wanna have the freedom to do w/e the fuck you want, be your own boss and work on your own schedule and put some time and effort into learning and implementing stuff.. the more you do it the easier it is and eventually you have cash rollin in by the bucketload.

Remember though any BH sources of income can dry up in a second so don't count those 100's before they drop into your bank account.

Go to college even if you hate it.

1) The hatred will inspire you to work harder at IM.

2) You'll meet lots of hot chicks (or dudes whatever), go to parties, make mistakes, get laid, get dumped, learn that there are a lot of really cool people in college etc. broadening your horizons which - funnily enough - is what liberal arts colleges are supposed to do anyway. They were never intended to be degree mills and pre-screening mechanisms for some fuckhead human resources drone. Fuck the degree, use University for what it is meant to be: a way to become more than you can by yourself, sitting in a room with your fucking xBox for your only friend.

3) No knowledge is ever wasted. Smart means having the ability to APPLY what you learn, not just the ability to absorb a lot of information. College will reinforce this in you in a way that flying solo probably won't.

4) Universities are a culture. Knowing as much as you can about the people coming out of a college with a degree is as valuable as the degree itself. They are shoppers with brand new fresh credit ratings, dreams, soon to be pregnant wives, little league games and church functions to go to. You can't effectively learn how they think and feel without interacting with them in real life.

5) Prove to yourself you have the balls to finish it; discipline, work ethic, doing what you don't want to do even when you're exhausted, high, hungover, heart broken blah blah blah are valuable lessons that, if nothing else, will help you relate better to your customers.

6) Get the fuck out of the house from time to time. And I can't think of a better, more inspiring way to be tempted away from your computer from time to time than a party, a football match, a hot little red head from the drama department or just SPRING arriving. It's WAY too easy to whine and cry, "Wah. I don't want to go to college. It's hard work. I just want to chill in mom's basement and play WoW and rakez in the l33t cashola from phishing mySpace.

7) You'll wake up one day and realize that you let that shit pass you by and get to my age pale, pasty, fat and desperate to find a way to recapture some of the years you wasted chasing a living when you were in the prime of your strength, learning ability, sexual prowess, invincibility and actual ability and instead of using it to grab life by the balls and drag it around the world kicking and screaming, obeying your every whim and begging for mercy you sat there quietly letting it take a shit on your future and reveling in the stink because you were too inexperienced to realize that that smell isn't roses, it's mildew growing on your ass and in your dreams.

Go to college and enjoy the social life bro, you'll have enough time to get your IM game on whilst there. Man uni was the easiest days of my life. Having been through all that though I just got made redundant from my first decent job because of this mortgage crisis bull crap. Gotta make money quick

Thanks you guys, I am in a similar position myself not knowing whether I should stay in college or just do IM full time as I love it. But the problem is I dont have a steady income yet and lets say I do have one but then the business fails. If I have a degree to back me up that will be great but if not I'll be screwed. Plus I do want to enjoy a social life while I am young and as scubaslick said so well, enjoy my life at the "prime of my strength". I just had a question for you guys though. How are you able to go to college and do IM at the same time? It just seems very difficult to do two very time consuming things at once. Well I am going back to college this year and AmazingAzn I suggest you do the same. I would only drop out if you have a really strong business structure that works and preferably not black hat as the income streams could end any day with 1 little change online.

I'll be graduating high school in the next few years, so I have been thinking hard about this myself. One problem I see is that even if I am making 6 figures a year online by the time I graduate HS, I would be pretty lonely and not having fun if I don't go to college. I could travel the country, or even the world (as long as they speak english and have internet connections), but I would have no idea how to make friends and be able to keep them doing this. And traveling all over the place or even just living in a nice house by yourself and vacationing a lot can get lonely. But maybe you're more sociable than I am and not have this problem.

And believe me, I know what you mean by not wanting to go to college. I am starting to get burned out on HS myself. But at the same time at HS you get to meet all kinds of people, have fun, and do all kinds of stupid stuff, so it is worth it I think.

This is a very interesting thread to me. I like seeing other people's views on this.

Go to college dude. Get skilled and learn the online stuff in your free time, because realistically it will probably take years to get your skills honed. And if they never get there, hell you're a doctor or something so you're in the bling.

I was expecting that answer but not so early. I don't waste my time reading many ebooks because so many are useless. From what you've experienced could you answer my questions?

You dont have to read from a to z, just quickly scan the book and if there is any good info, take a note of it and go to the next e-book. Sometimes an ebook has only one good paragraph in it, but it's worth checking it out.

Also I think you should go to college. It will give you more experience in others fields of life. You can study and practice online marketing/money making at your free time. Just don't slack. Don't spend too much time having fun, playing video games, doing short term stuff, but invest in your future. When you will be making 100k a month, you will be able to party all you want. At least, this is my current lifestyle. I want to do everything so after 3-5 years I can live a free life, have loads of cash, babes, great car and travel around the world :) Each minute I spend in sweat reading/thinking/doing is for the future!

Don't be stupid. GO TO COLLEGE!

Even if it takes more than four to graduate, GO!

If finances are tight, get a PELL Grant and go to a community colllege; BUT GO!

You can always do the online stuff as a way to learn and make extra cash.

Listen to these guys, they know what they're talking about. Neither CS or PPI are dependable enough to be your main source of income.

Don't quit your day job OR college UNTIL you're making a comfortable living online. Even then, just like with a "real job", things can change in a heartbeat and a huge portion of your IM income could disappear virtually overnight. It's a good idea to have a college degree as a backup plan. Plenty of people go to college full time and still have time to learn about IM. If you like IM, perhaps you should major in Marketing or Finance. If you're worried about supporting yourself while in college (or paying for it in general), take out student loans to pay for tuition, rent, food, gas, etc. That way, you won't HAVE to work a full-time job while in college. That's what I did. Depending on where you go, college could very well be the best 4 years of your life.

Otherwise, the military is always hiring :) (Go Navy!)

Ok, maybe not life changing but hopefully.

I'm a young guy and I don't feel like going to college, at all. I'd really like to make my living online but I just can't seem to find something to suit me. I make a little with my private server but since Nexon seems to be suing a lot of the bigger servers, I don't think I could go on much longer with it.

There is absolutely no reason why you can't both go to college and pursue IM endeavors. I work full time, go to college, do IMing, and I am a wife and mother. Trust me, it can be done. It all depends on your level of motivation and desire to be successful.

Many local colleges and universities now offer online programs, which facilitate the learning process, mitigating unnecessary classroom and travel time. I personally don't go to college because I want to attend parties or do drugs, I do it because I have dreamed of being a doctor since I was a small child. In a couple more years, me dream will finally reach fruition.

Like many others have stated, college can be a back up plan to your online ventures if you will. No one knows what the future will bring and it is nice to know that if your current plans do not pan out, you have something to fall back on. Ultimately, the decision is yours.

I will give you some advice as someone who made a lot of money young. Save money. Dont be a big spender until you truly have the money in the bank. Save. You never know when you'll need it.

hmmm I don't get it...

first, you said right on your ebook that you're making over $4000 http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackhat-seo/junior-vip-zone/46048-amazinazns-super-secret-awesome-private-server-method.html Actually I am trying your method now.

but upon reading this thread,it looks like you're only making a little money out of it...and you even asked which is better---CS or PPI.

does that mean that the method in your ebook isn't actually effective?

care to clarify?
