Help me identify link building service my competitors used

Hey folks!
My competitors used some kind of service with big success. I want to understand where I can get a similar one.

here are some links as an example:

I highly doubt your competitors paid for these links, more likely their sites have just been scraped and used for spam content farms like countless others. Quite a few threads about backlinks like these are cropping up over the last few years eg: https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/how-were-these-backlinks-created.1492266/

Thanks for the reply. I think you might be right. I saw a plenty of other SPAM links, but they were different from these.
What made me think that these links contributed to my competitor doing well:
1. They are in highly competitive niche (coupon codes) and doing very well with relatively low DR (below 50)
2. They had a big increase in traffic after 2-3 months these type of links started to appear
3. It's almost impossible to build links to single pages in coupon niche to cover all your pages, since it's programmatic SEO sites with tens of thousands of pages. So it feels like these kind of links could be a good solution to increase number of RDs as well as to get links from relevant pages (they all have target keywords in Title/URL). When you think about "normal" blog-type of website with 200-500 pages, these links feels like won't move the needle. But for coupon website, where almost noone have any decent links pointing to their inner pages, these links could move the needle, IMO.

yes, even my sites get backlinks from such scraped content sites automatically every month.
and after 2-3 months those are removed. At least my ahrefs reports says so.
so neither those links carry much value as they are for short time!

The site in question will have to be ranking pretty highly for at least some decent keywords for them to get scraped in the first place. But we don't know whether the scraper is scraping from Google results or another engine such as Bing. The scraped links may have had an effect on their ranking but without seeing what other links they've gained before the traffic bump it's not really possible to pinpoint.

Yes, I've actually started to worry if my sites don't pick up such links

yes, all my sites also get spam links, but they always look different to these which I provided as an example.

I checked their initial backlinks in Ahrefs, and they all come from automatic scraper spam websites, nothing serious.

Of course they could have some hidden PBNs...

So they got some decent traffic initially, but then their traffic exploided in the same time they got those links which I ask about. Of course it could be "egg and the chicken" subject and links followed the traffic, as they started to appear in too many SERPs.

The traffic growth also correlates with site's re-design.
