Where do you live op? For 500 squid i'll get your money back with intrest

he changed password and FTP, I didn't think he would spam me when I live 5 mins from his home and he is a legit shop.

I uploaded it because I didn't think someone I know in real life would fuck me over.

Fool ! for reals you live 5 mins away from that sucker, take him to court. Why you are going to treat this like this is some high school sh!t? This is real life in case you haven't noticed, you can get sued for doing something as stupid as that and gain NOTHING for it!

Don't listen to anyone that tells you otherwise, because from a legal standpoint its not going to help you at all.Thats all it matter that you don't get fucked over more than you are. Your dumb a$$ already put enough online, just take him to court and fight for your money, dont make it harder than what already is.

It's not a physical threat at all?

Again, it don't matter that is not a physical threat, your incriminating yourself by stating your trying to do him harm, anything you say on a wide open forum about your intentions of hurting someone is enough evidence for the most part to be used against you . Use some sense!

He's already incriminated himself by threatening him on Twitter. Bad move as the courts are currently a warpath with social media. These sentences would be considered threats in the UK (taken from Twitter):

Expect me this weekend, IRL. Will be nice to meet you.

He has no idea on the freight train that is about to hit his life head on.

the guy faps to gay porn of cartoon wolves eating each other alive.

Don't even want to know how you know that...

I uploaded it because I didn't think someone I know in real life would fuck me over.

Where do you think "online" people are from? Just because it's "real life" doesn't mean people won't screw you over, get a contract or be willing to potentially lose money ( aka time ).

But if I am not going to get my money, I'll be having some fun with him at his expense.

Well, if you're paying people to "deliver punishment" then it would still be at your expense. So now you've lost a grand worth of time, and you're shelling out cash to make him pay.

Why you are going to treat this like this is some high school sh!t?

OP already proved he has a mentally of a high schooler. "Threatening" on Twitter and hiring some dude to "deliver punishment" sounds like a playground type of move.

OP you lost a grand, take it on the chin and move on. You're wasting more time ( and more money ) by screwing around doing stupid stuff, either take him to court or forget about it.

solve the problem the Irish way.. serve him as a dinner to the pigs

Put your big boy undies on and deal with it. You were stupid and got fucked. Try not to do it anymore.

Build a nother site or 5 and outrank his ass, and send the business to a competitor. (For a fee of course).

Otherwise you're just letting him rent space in your head. It sure as hell isn't worth going to jail for.

What would you expect, man.. always ask for a upfront fee, like 30%.. and then the rest of the payment once you've finished the website and handed him the logins to the backend. Lol.. he took you for a ride.. you'll learn from now on to at least get an upfront payment.

As Techxan says.. just build another website(s) and out rank him. He's not going to pay you but he defintiely just gave you a lesson you are not going to forget.. And throwing a brick in his window or threatening him on twitter will just cause you more trouble.

If he's a legit shop, you could do a lot worse to him than this. G+ reviews, Yelp reviews, etc... and the beauty of it is that once he pays you, you can delete the bad reviews.

I don't have a problem with "extra-legal" retaliation, I just think you could do it better. I also have a distinct lack of respect for certain pantie-waist hysterics lifting up their skirts in this thread and shrieking like little girls. I think that the people that fear direct action the most are the ones that can imagine how someone might want to do something like that to them, and it scares the living shit out of them.

All you have to do is legitimately review the business owner's conduct. If the auto repair shop owner (or whatever) will screw his website guy over, he'll screw his regular customers too. You can even use the review as an advertisement for your business. "If you like the website that Mr. Jones cheated me out of paying for, I might be able to build one for you too. You can find me at xyz123.com"

does he legally own or have rights to every image on the site? (- because I know I've pretty much never designed a site that does.)

get those legal guys on his tail and there's no way he can blame you as he never actually paid you to design the site, so you can deny everything and say "unlucky" and "welcome to business"

Who bought the domain and hosting? If you did then not having a contract is a plus, you can claim it back from domain/hosting company
