Help me choose a host!

seems expensive the ***Hosting and also no unlimited bandwidth?

I use HostGator because they seem to have everything I may ever need and I've never had any issues with my websites going down for a second. Also, I don't think their customer service is as bad as people might claim it to be. For $9.95 a month for unlimited domains you can't really go wrong.

"Unlimited" bandwidth is kind of a "myth".

?Unlimited? Tricks :

In the web hosting industry, you get what you pay for. The costs of maintaining, monitoring, and upgrading servers and keeping employees ready to assist customers aren?t low. Still, some companies are able to provide you with ?Unlimited? resources at a very low cost, usually within $5 ? $6. As they?re getting low amount of money from invidual customers, to suppress the loss, they stuff in as many customers? websites as possible into a single shared hosting server. I?ve seen servers hosting over 1K websites. That results in pathetic loading times of all the websites on the server.

Mistake #2: Looking for ?Unlimited? Web Hosts

Excited people with a huge ?recently grown? interest for blogging generally want the best infrastructure for their blogs. They think that the web hosting companies who claim they provide UNLIMITED ?everything? (literally) are the best ones to host their blogs on. In truth, words like ?unlimited? doesn?t work in an industry such as the Web Hosting industry. It?s impossible to let customers host unlimited domains on a hosting account, let alone provide them unlimited storage and bandwidth.

Unlimited-Web-Hosting

Someone on WebHostingTalk wanted to know ?How do you explain that unlimited isn?t really unlimited??. There?s a short but effective answer coming from MikeDVB:

Just tell them that if they go down to their local computer part store or even an online vendor and they find a legitimate ?unlimited? hard drive, that you?ll provide them free hosting for life :)You could also simply state that unlimited space and transfer only exists for those with an unlimited budget, which is a bit snarky. Hardware has physical limits and as such any plan (?limited? or ?unlimited?) is going to have hard limits whether they?re clearly defined for the end user or not. It?s a simple concept however it seems a lot of people have a hard time understanding it.
You are generally bound by 101 types of complications of their Terms of Service (ToS) or Fair Usage Policy (FUP) that do the job of not letting you consume much resources, well.

thanks that actually helped!

Do you guys have information on how to move domains from godaddy to somewhere else?

shared hosting is cheap an ok for general load.you may have bluehost and any other hosting service .Try to read hosting ,BST sectionb on BHW.

I use Warpline. They're dirt cheap and have good support :)

I've recently started with servikus.com, they have a BST here. So far I was most pleased.

You will find tons on good host with god and bad review.
SO unless the hosting fits you needs and budget its good to go.
Not everyone have issues with hosting.I personally use arvixe, servinio.
Using 123system for couple of months they're cheap but there db got hacked couple of days back so its not a best deal to grab .
Big names have big prices and better satisfactions You can also check out bhw marketplace for some hosting providers there are some good hosting likes hostwinds and blueangel offshore hosting and many more.

I don't recommend godaddy anymore, they're really pushing the domain discount club right now, join like hostwinds or namecheap

I would also recommend Hostwinds, they have been great for me so far.

I've been with hostgator for years, never had a problem with them.

Recently moved to d9 hosting 2 months ago and have been superb! Excellent support as well as service and they transfer your existing sites for you.

So far am using hostgator and it is the best forever for me. the host approve instantly with your payment and is really good. The load speed is pretty good without delay. Support team helps well and good.
