Quick question: The timing of this thread is a bit odd. I'm sure if you have been in IM.. its the last few days that are 'on the fence' considering that payments are made usually in the first week of the month. So does this promo hold true in Jan? You haven't mentioned how long the promo is for.

In regards to website transfer.. is it applicable for existing clients too?

I have Two VPS's with Hostwinds one for the network on for my personal use.
They handled the network transfer seamlessly and although we have had a slight
issue concerning my personal VPS Peter, his team and I worked out an amicable
solution that benefits both our working relationships.
I have never found Peter to be anything other then polite and honest.
 
can we use the hostwind vps for running tools like scrapebox etc ? whats the speed of vps ?

I have been using HW for about..6 months now? So far its the only hosting company I did not want to burn to the ground.

If I hit the lotto Im buying the guy a data center.

Also if you notice since HW started hosting BHW its not half as shitty with all the DB errors and shit.

I never order for a full year... too risky and expensive. Too bad that reoccurring coupon won't work for monthly buyers :'(

1st.: I have NEVER been client from HostWind, so I can not say anything about its service, support, etc.

I am not HIJACKING this thread. A company give a service and offer a discount. Good, I will talk only about THIS.

Price: I don't like. Maybe I could not see something else, but for example:


VPS: 384MB, 1Ghz, 25Gb = $17.75, using OpenVZ.

Maybe the price is for: "We do NOT oversell our VPS nodes unlike most other VPS Hosting providers."
Yes, OpenVZ allows Overselling. So, if it does not do it, maybe the cost need to be other.

I added in MSN and.. unhapilly, the person had anything else to do and did not answer me. So, for this I imagined the support (but for what others wrote, I think it is not bad).

A good thing I saw was about Shared unlimited domains for $5.5.

Like others, I don't like to get ANNUAL plan.
