I was unable to post for about 2 months due to personal problems.

Before stopping, I was having an amazing engagement rate, more 80%, and now it dropped to 7% engagement rate after 4 days of posting.

I started posting the same way as before stopping, same kind of pictures/hashtags.

I'm having this drop because of the break that I took? And it will increase again in time? Or do I have to change my strategy?

I've been in the same situation, you have to regain Instagram algorithm trust
Try to schedule your posts always in the same hours every day (i'm using Facebook Creator studio)
Engage with your audience (like & comment) their staff so they know that you are alive
Use Instagram stories & IG TV (I have to use IG TV too)

Gotcha.
Thanks mate

I want to know, how can you schedule INSTAGRAM post from FacebookCreatorStudio? I don't really see any option there?

Yea I'd suggest continuing as before for now and maybe engage with inactive followers. But in theory it should fix itself. Best of luck!

Thank you, will do it.

First of all you have to link your Instagram page to a Facebook page and then login to Fb creator studio with your Fb account. After this you will be able to schedule Instagram posts.

How long it took you to get out of this engagement drop pit?

UPDATE:

After one month of going forward with posting and engaging with my audience, the engagement rate started to grow, but it was fluctuating.
I will keep going forward, slow down a bit with posting, and trying to get people more engaged.

But on the even better part, in the past week, I started gaining around 250 organic followers every day, which is nice.

If there are any threads in regards to increasing followers (not f/uf), please drop a link here. Thanks

I'm experiencing something like this but in an account "dead" for 5 years.
Ridiculous reach and ER atm... (i have a tread speaking about this case study)

Luckily I have a huge reach on some of my posts.
In the past 7 days
3 out 24 have over 100k reach
5 out 24 (without top 3) have over 50k reach
and the rest under 50k reach
