HELP?! Indian Student ripped me off $10k, ideas???!!!

PM me his info, I know a recovery agent in there, he works for a US company. If you are willing to split 30% of the scammed amount.

PM me all of his info, including his online handles

They have some setting with cybercrime department too.

Really what he has done to you,did he selled you a creepy site with garbage stats..well if this is the case most of seller at flippa are like this only...if you have not got your product provide flippa some proof and they will look into it.

I've used Flippa only once and I'm almost sure that they get involved in these sort of issues so probably worth contacting them

How did you pay? If it was via paypal or a credit card (if you did escrow) you can dispute that charge and get the money back. If you wired it you are screwed. Maybe find a local lawyer to give him a call and scare him but at least in the US law enforcement can do very little since it is really a civil matter. Sure you can claim you were scammed but your definition of scammed and the legal one can differ. If you bought a website for $10k and you got that website then it is not a scam. Meaning if you bought it and the stats were just fake or something like that then criminally there is not going to be much you can do.

If he is young he might not know that and you might scare him into giving some of your money back. Or just send someone to break his legs lol.

Move on, india isnt a place where law will do justice.

Can you explain how he scammed you??
just the info how you got scammed!
it would be very helpful!

i am also from india, and i want to say.. there is no chance so that you can get that money

Okay.

Their maybe a way to find a solution for your problem, but first as so many have asked you need to provide few more details about the scam.

1. How was the money transferred ? Coz as someone already stated, follow the money and you will find your destination (and that should be easy since he signed a contract).

2. Did you contact flippa regarding the issue already ? If so, what did they say ?

If you sent the payment via Paypal, it might be easier to get the money back as Paypal for Indians take these kinds of things very seriously & a simple call to them would suffice imo.

If you sent the payment via Bank Transfer then you probably have his full account details & as you are suspecting the license he provided you to be real then you also have his address & details (Address on the license is of the Student himself, unless he is staying with his parents/father).

On the bright side, their are allot of collection agencies in India that can collect the money, (sometimes unethical) depending on their share. You can google for collection agencies in India and since he is a student (young), he might get scared easily.

Hope this helps.
