[help]I a'm having problem creating torrent files

Hi my fellow BHW pals,pls i'm new to torrent.I try to create a torrent file using utorrent.After creating the torrent,it appear as 12kb but the original file is 9.66mb.but in utorrent it is the original 9.66mb.Guys what should i do? is there an omission while creating the .torrrent file? should I upload that 12kb file?
i'm confuse here. Sorry for the nob question.Thanks for understandig
